These market-based ideas and the policies they inspired constitute a paradigm shift away from the post-war Keynesian consensus which lasted from 1945 to 1980.

Sorry I forgot, how is this bad? Seems pretty based to me.

It could certainly seem like that because they tend to say that we are living "under neoliberalism" or something but it usually refers to the dominant parties and how they are trying to dismantle the welfare state by austerity.

It's the exact opposite. Consumer sovereignty is true sovereignty and forces companies to make good products; political sovereignty is fake and gets nothing done.

I read it. He favours free trade for most economies, and protectionism for developing economies.

I also think this is untrue. I would associate austerity with a low peak and then a rapid recovery, and high spending with a moderate, but prolonged, depression
