Has anyone thought about building an intellectual hub for libertarians and market anarchists in New Hampshire, similar to the Mises Institute? I've been in NH for a few months but feel like there's something missing here, namely any kind of libertarian academic institute. Most of the libertarians here are pretty dumb, TBH. You don't see top tier Austrian School economists coming to NH to support the FSP, you see low-lifes who came to NH with the FSP because their hometowns didn't want them. Plus, having a MI-like institution will facilitate the growth of movers.

The pic is of Keene.

You'll need available scholars first. Funding is less of an issue.Might be the time to get a real degree in Economy.

What do you even plan on building? Most of the Free Staters probably heard about the project through the Internet. Those people are not going to be interested in dry lectures about Austrian economics, and those that are can just read about it through any number of free sources on the Internet. So much libertarian outreach and community building is done online for good reason.

Do you want to push Austrian economics into academia? Building an economics school with the intent of entering this world won't provide any benefit as the university bubble is on the verge of popping and wouldn't accept upstart Austrians into its brainwash zone anyway. A degree through such a school would be worthless, as it would have no value as a certification since it's not a major school, no value as an academic consensus changer because it's opposed to the mechanisms that enable scholarly rent-seeking, and no value as an education resource because the curriculum can be found online for free.

Yes, I have a Master's in Economics, not Austrian though. But I don't see how that translates into starting an institute. You are correct that money will be a huge problem.

Maybe you can do some educational stuff online? That seems to be the way things are going with the college bubble bursting soon.

 No.61848

Not college. I was thinking of something identical to the Mises Institute (unless we want to convince Lew to move the MI to Keene).

What the fuck is an individualist anarchist doing on /liberty/? If you're an actual individualist you need to come home to /leftypol/. They were all opposed to capitalism.

There's nothing individualistic in surrendering to the demands of the collective market.

 No.61938

Living in exile is an option. You don't have to "surrender" to any social norms. You can make your own language up and not have to bother with rules. I advise you follow your reasoning.

New Hampshire already has the largest and most active concentration of libertarians in the world. Why not set up there?

So you want free shit? And taking away what other people worked for is individualistic? At least go Anprim, I respect their branch of hating capitalism far more than anything the left can shit out.
