So I noticed another spike in the number of visitors we have and decided to visit /leftypol/ to see what was up. Well I came across this thread mentioning a comment from a thread on here. It appears as if the OP has gotten himself a severe case of ass pain and is asking his comrades for help. He wasn't too happy with our previous responses.

I've been here from the very beginning and we could always easily deal with them. Our openmindedness and willingness to engage in discussions has earned us a very good reputation, too. We had guys from /leftypol/ admit that they come here when their own board is not intellectually challenging enough. Some of them even went on to change their opinions and became more libertarian. Furthermore, I've also seen other boards. The only boards that can keep up with us as far as quality goes are /k/, long dead, or /bane/.

I'm convinced that we should keep our tradition as one of the United Boards of Freedom. We've always laughed in the face of strict moderation, rulefaggotry and hugboxes, and it got us at the top of the best boards on the entire site. Why change that?

With the effort you put into that crypost, you could've made a quality contribution. Judging by your passion, you clearly care about the quality of the board. I hope you focus your future efforts elsewhere.

I'm convinced there's a critical point that occurs in all boards where more effort is spent complaining than contributing, and upon reaching that point the board implodes. While it can be exacerbated by hit-and-run shitposts and low-effort threads, the core cause is that people feel comfortable enough with the status quo to stop contributing.

The reason we look back nostalgically at the state of this site in late 2014 is that every board was make or break back then. There needed to be at least a small dedicated population that continuously posted good content or else the board would die. It helps when you're a niche that doesn't really exist elsewhere (granted 4cuck has /lrg/ but that isn't the same thing) but it was a struggle for everyone.

Honestly, all we have to do is stop indulging them and learn to sage bad posts. There is no reason to entertain them every single time. We gain nothing from it. It's not that funny anymore to "laugh at them" when most of our top posts are purely /leftypol/ shitposting. We might as well be their slave board by now.

I went back to check the numbers and read through the comments and I saw a comment from Sargon that he left 5 hours ago. Apparently he is aware that /leftypol/ was hitting it. Does he lurk over there? I thought that was weird since the video has been out since the end of April, and all of sudden here comes a /leftypol raid/…and Sargon!
