I can only be mad

I don't know what being kind is, and never knew what kindness is

I will always be suspicious at people interacting as if they care about each other

How do I fix this? Or is it too late?

Thanks for your strive for kindness and even more for sharing your troubles.

From my perspective, kindness is a very personal virtue, and as such is hard to give you an foolprove step by step guide how to achive it, without knowing much about yourself.

For me however, it is at most a philosophical perception of the world. I think everyone just want to live a happy life, even if the meaning of what happiness means differs from person to person, i strongly believe that we can achieve much much more happiness by helping each other out and cooperating, than we could by sheer rivalry and distrust. Its honestly a very comfy building of thought and helped me alot to relax in the presence of other people.

You are never too late to learn the kind way!

Get a dog. If you feed him, play with him and treat him well, he'll love you from the bottom of his cuddly dog heart. A dog loving his human is probably the purest form of love there is.

With regards to other humans, selfishness and ego comes into play. So you aren't wrong in your distrust. I heavily distrust others, including my parents. But I think the idea is to have faith in the goodness of others. If you have no faith or hope, you'll just be bitter and lost.

Have faith in humanity and have faith in yourself. Do healthy activities that you like that involve meeting other people. You can also try volunteering for a cause you care about and maybe you'll see there is good to people even if the majority of us are deeply, irrevocably flawed.

Hope you have a good day and a peaceful weekend

I was the same, kindness arose from a stint of depression and overcoming the anxiety of it all with the realization im not the invincible know-it-all bad ass I thought I was. In this situation you'll need to be kind to understand the reciprocation of kindness, I find it's easier to tell your homie they look fresh or tell a lady friend she looks cute today. Compliments are the easiest way to be kind, and you'll find it sticks with people and they'll return the kindness sometime. Sometimes extraordinarily quickly.

Or like >>40715 said, but get a cat since dogs exhibit a sort of people pleasing kindness that you don't want to exhibit yourself.

inhaling rancid corpse farts and cleaning vomit off the floor after it's eaten feces and listening to barking at literally nothing 18 hours a day isn't my idea of a good time.
