GREETINGS /kind/
The Infinity Cup is returning once again, and 8chan's boards will be fighting it out on the pitch to claim divegrass supremacy. As a board that has participated in the Cup at one point or another in its history, you are invited to the reveal stream for 2019 Summer edition of the Cup. On Saturday June 22nd, at 3 PM EDT/7 PM UTC, on cytu.be/r/8cup I'll be giving you guys an early look at the Cup's 5th edition, which will include revamped aesthetics, team stadiums and other quality of life improvements I've figured out how to do in PES 17. Hopefully this will get anons back on board with the Cup, considering it has struggled mightily since its 2nd incarnation.
So how is it going to go down? I'll be staging a couple of exhibition matches between teams using their rosters from the last Cup, and we'll shitpost our merry way through the stream. Once the stream ends, entries will be open for the Cup, and boards can start putting together/editing their rosters and kits. Entries will close in early July, the field will be determined, and the Group Draw will take place approximately a week before the Cup kicks off in August. I'm also hoping to possibly introduce managers for the Cup, although I'm still working out the details to keep this from devolving into a namefriend dick measuring contest. I hope you all will tune in, and in case you aren't caught up on your board's history, I've provided some links below to get you caught up:

A team is created for each board that participates. The bo /vol or members of the board decides on what the kit (uniform) looks like. The board members pick names of the players. We had Mr Rogers, No Bully, Akari, Friendgot, etc.
Anyways then boards play each other using PES (pro evolution soccer) by setting both teams at an equivalent AI level.
Board teams play thru an elimination bracket until there is a champion.

There isn't any downside.
I think we should just submit the old kit and roster. Culturally we are the same board back then but a bit slower.
There was a desire to create a board-tan and for it to be a valkyrire but that never panned out. Not sure if someone more knowledgeable than I can suggest one or two of those moe kemeno friends as a replacements to "valkyrire" and "drawfriend".

The BO can be the manager if they are around.
The board was created with the idea of everyone being nameless and tripless. If we can have an AI manager in PES that would be ideal

You can resubmit the old roster and kit should you want to. The thing is, I don't think there's enough anons to have a live manager for each team. The way it's likely going to get done is each board works together and submits a strategy guide that gets followed for each team.

For simplicity and laziness sake we will resubmit the old roster and kit. Punch that in unless someone objects.
Do you have a sample strategy guide? How detailed do we need this to be? Do we submit a standard formation and leave it? Do we hammer out two formations per game with conditions for tactic changes if we are up or down by goals?
I never played PES so whatever strategy I devise will be from a cursory internet search. From said search I want to do a [4 2 3 1].

Your questions answered in order:
Yes, I'm just doing a bit of clean up on it. Keep an eye on /8cup/, I'll make a post regarding the team strategies soon.
For the most part, you'll just be selecting either/or options for strats/tactics. It's not all that complicated, you'll see in the sample.
That's how it'll be, yes. We'd only do multiple formations/tactics if we had actual managers for each squad, which we do not.

The entries for the Infinity Cup are now closed. 24 teams total submitted the required base elements to be a valid entrant. While not the 32 I envisioned, 24 is still a viable number to host a tournament. The full list of 24 teams can be found at >>>/8cup/3322. A stream will be held at https://cytu.be/r/8cup , on August 4th in order to determine the Group Stage of the tournament. As one of the 24 boards participating, you will need to cobble together enough autism to complete the entry and fully personalize your team. What I need from your board is as follows:
Medal Designations (http://infinitycup.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Rules#Roster_Rules)
Player Heights (http://infinitycup.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Rules#Player_Builds.2FAbilities)
Player Cards (http://infinitycup.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Player_Cards)
Team Strategy (http://infinitycup.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Team_Strategies)
Feel free to post the final pieces in here or in your thread on >>>/8cup/. A reminder that this is a call for any Blenderfriends who are willing to help out to make faces/models for the players in game, as well as anyone with a nice voice and a microphone willing to be part of live commentary at one point or another. I also ask that the board vols please sticky this thread until the Cup is over so as to contain any shitposting, OC, banter, or Cupposting, as well as keep a highly visible place for remaining announcements to go.

You've been placed into Group C with /strek/, /ausneets/, and /wooo/ and your schedule is listed in pic related. With kickoff under a week away, now's the time for any trash talk, hype, and whatever else you want to do before everything starts.
