Despite the name, /kind/ is full of bullies and passive-aggressiveness. It's pretty sad but cannot be helped on a website where /pol/ is the most popular board.

Contrary to popular belief, sage isn't a downvote, it's a non-bump. It barely affects a thread, so if anything it's neutral. Unless they mean to say the thread is shit, so I'm saging, which I've never seen on this board. That's more of a /b/ thing.
I use sage when I feel like my post is off-topic or when I'm feeling shy and don't want near instant attention.

>/kind/ is full of bullies
You, and I must have vastly different views on what it means to bully someone. I agree that there can be some slight passive aggression on the rare occasion, but that's just human nature. No online 'community' I've ever seen has completely cut that stuff out.

It's a /jp/ thing mostly and a lot of people here are in /jp/-like communities too so it carries over. On 2 of the 3 chans I regularly visit sage works but isn't shown because like >>32998 it was used as an insult before, despite it not being it's intended function. Imho that's how it should work everywhere, no need to make it known you saged, sometimes it looks overly polite or rude.

Agree with the above poster. Also if I am double posting in a thread I'd sage as well. Or if I think I've posted too much in a short space of time I sage. This is a relatively slow board and the other 5 or 6 people deserve to have their posts on the front page too

That's quite passive aggressive against /pol/friends, to be completely and utterly honest with you, Lain-san.

we have a lot of shy friends on /kind/, and a lot of them might not want their post at the top of the front page
sage because my contribution isn't anything new

But being active aggressive is not nice, Lain-san! I want you to apologize to our /pol/ friends!

Only if you interpret sage as a downboat
If the purpose of the sage is not to bump out of respect to OP and other posters because what you have to say doesn't really add much to the discussion as it was meant to be used then it's a rather /kind/ thing to do

Sad to see this kind of toxic ignorance on /kind/. /pol/ is a board of peace. Don't judge a whole community by the misdeeds of a few extremists. They are not real /pol/ocks.

Unlimited kindness must lead to the disappearance of kindness. If we extend unlimited kindness even to those who bully, if we are not prepared to defend a kind society against the onslaught of bullying, then the kind will be destroyed, and kindness with them. We should therefore claim, in the name of kindness, the right to bully the bullies.
