Stock up while you still can. If you get it now, it should be considered "pre" like last time and you won't have to modify it. That means fun sticks are currently available for purchase, but may go away if Uncle Joe wins. Buy now! Sales are up over 300% in the US this year. It's getting harder to find stuff as the citizenry is gearing up for bad times. Every American is suddenly a doomsday prepper in 2020.
IIRC, the last AWB stated no high capacity mags, no muzzle devices, no pistol grips, no bayonettes, and foreign raifus needed at least X (10 or 15?) US made parts to be compliant. What does this mean for you? If you're the proud owner of an AK or AR and forward thinking like me, you should get her the compliance parts ahead of time in preparation for that rainy day. If not, they'll all be sold out and you won't be able to take your best girl out in public for a date at the range.
Buy a thread cap if you have to unthread your muzzle break.
Buy one of those thumb-hole "sporting" stocks.
Buy a gimped 10 round mag.
Buy American. There's plenty of great US made AKs and ARs.
Buy a Kali Key because Dems will go after semis eventually.

I doubt the day would ever come that cops will go door-to-door to confiscate guns from the public. LEO's know that it would be a suicide mission and will refuse to do so, hopefully they refuse solely on it violating the Constitution first and foremost. What our rulers will do is slowly choke the life out of it. An AWB is the inch. Going after sales of ammunition will be the mile. If you're going to be hardcore, I'd also suggest getting the gear to reload and make your own ammo. Start stockpiling crates of ammunition.
