So hypothetically speaking,if i lived in a country where short-barreled firearms were illegal and i wanted to obtain pocket size .22 revolver.Would 3d printing be a good option or should i use one of these "100% diy" guides?

Hello europoor anon,
In restrictive areas most people buy the real thing from corrupt cops. It is also said a lot of evidence never makes it to the evidence room (police don't body search each other leaving a bust, and body cameras can't see a cop's hands behind their back can they?). The prices are even cheaper than gun stores because they need to get rid of them fast.
