Hey dudes.

Pardon me if this is a stupid and/or noob question. I was wondering about the viability of getting a handgun at age 18. According to the ATF, it is possible to acquire such a weapon before the age of 21, provided you buy it from an unlicensed vendor (at least that is how I read it). How would one go about getting one though? Are the guys at Gun Shows for example considered unlicensed?

I live in Georgia, so I don't think there should be any cucked state laws to get in my way. I do not plan on carrying or anything, I just want to be able to take it to the range and such. Any input here would be helpful.

(It may seem like I am just too lazy to do real research, but in reality I am incredibly stupid and don't want to fuck myself over.)

You buy private sale, or have it "gifted" to you.

Check out Armslist (.) Com

It's private sellers.

The issue you're gonna have is most people are fudds and won't sell to someone under 21 or without a CCW

Check out 80lower(.)com as well

They sell 80% finished Glock kits and 1911 kits.

They're expensive but you can mill out your own Glock and 1911 and then noone knows about them, they're legal. You are legal to own them.

If you give a shit about those laws.

You won't be able to carry it concealed until you're 21 as that's the age to get a CCW but you're perfectly able to own them at 18 and open carry if your state allows that w/o ccw.

And if you have a castle doctrine/stand you're ground that extends to your vehicle you're able to keep it there, just as long as it's not physically on you.

In FL I can have it in my center console or glove box loaded and one in the chamber and that's legal without CCW as the vehicle is an extension of your home according to our castle doctrine

Yeah I think in GA I am allowed to keep it in my car but I cannot physically open carry without a CCW.

Pretty much just going to echo what the first guy said.

>You CAN buy a handgun at 18, if your state allows it

>It will have to be from a private seller, and can't be from an FFL

>Some people at gun shows MAY be private sellers who would be able to sell to you (if gun shows by you are anything like mine though, they are mostly FFLs)

Your best bet is probably going to be armslist. That being said, a bunch of people, if not most, will be gay and think they can't sell to you under 21 (even if they legally can). I went through the same problem as you before I turned 21, and this is what I did:

>Look up your laws and see if you actually can buy a handgun in a private sale under 21 in your state

>Find listing on armslist that doesn't specifically mention selling to over 21, and is reasonably priced

>Offer the asking price

>Be accommodating in arranging the buy, be respectful and use proper grammar

>Don't mention that you are under 21 (Why would you if the legal age to buy a pistol in your state is 18? Would you mention that you were 24 if you were trying to buy a rifle? No, its unnecessary information)

>Show up with cash, don't look/act trashy or autistic

>If they say they can't sell it to you, confidently explain whatever state laws apply to private sales. Have them printed out and highlighted

I bought a bunch of handguns between 18 and 21, and this worked every single time. I did not have a carry permit then either. The most important part is being confident. Every single guy I bought from was a megafudd who didn't think it was legal to sell to someone under 21 until I explained and showed them the actual laws.

Private purchase, 80%s, putting a conversion cylinder in a cap and ball revolver (not a firearm till it accepts fixed cartridges) and being given them by ATF agents.

Use the god damn QTDDTOT, Jesus. Why is it so difficult for newfags to follow this simple rule? If we let every retard make an entire thread just to ask a question, the catalog will be cancer.

My mistake. I will go to QTDDTOT next time. I wouldn't want to dirty your 1pph board.

>low pph is an excuse to ignore the rules and create entire threads for 1-line questions

We were sitting around 200-270 ISPs and dozens of posts per hour before retardmonkey decided to change the site name and become assbuddies with the feds. If you want to blame someone for low activity, blame him and his mongoloid father

Yeah you have a good point. I agree that I should not have done it in hindsight. I am just saying that you are overreacting just a touch, given nobody is here.

And okay I will blame retardmonkey.
