was it autistic enough as is or did they have to add a grenade launcher to make it fit for spergook's approval?

Should've made an ACR/SPIW/Experiential Weapon General.

>Make general

>Phrase question as conversation starter

Much more successful than simply asking a question.

Remember, the US Army tried to push this shit for fucking half a century: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XM29_OICW It looks like at least they finally gave up on these kind of grenade launchers.

Indeed, the conversation will go off topic in quite wild and interesting ways anyway, but this will let streloks restart it after the thread died down.

can somebody translate that?

looks like the russians got something similar to the OICW

d404b0 No.555117

That predates the OICW to the 1970s and (along with tishina) is the reason why Western powers went full retard attaching grenade launchers to rifles. Some retard general saw that and went "THERES A <insert> GAP!"

The caliber is 12.7mm which is a lot more manageable than OICW 20mm. The gun is about a kilo lighter if a Soviet weapon is lighter than a western one, you know you fucked up. It has the option to fire out-sized rifle grenades off of the main 5.45 barrel, but the 12.7mm grenades are exactly what it says on the tin - .50 cal grenades.

It's a good idea, if you're going to go full retard and permanently integrate a grenade launcher it might as well be small so the soldiers arms don't fall off.

By the way I think grenade ammo was made by shortening 32 gauge shotgun shells.

Similar to here:

https://books.google.com/books?id=qEhLZbdpkbYC&pg=PA109&lpg=PA109&dq=STS-110+cartridge

12.5x40mm

That's just my own personal guess though… no confirmation. There's a weird trigun that had a similar grenade.

thx for the info.

was the gun ever used in combat or is it just a prototype?

also shoothing the gun would cycle both the normal and the grenade cartrigde at the same time? Am i seeing that right?

>That predates the OICW to the 1970s and (along with tishina) is the reason why Western powers went full retard attaching grenade launchers to rifles

But the grenade launcher was part of Project NIBLICK, and that project was in the 1960s, if I'm not mistaken. Also, the M79 grenade launcher was developed in the 1950s, and the M203 was adopted in 1969. Therefore I doubt it had any effect on this grenade launcher mania.

Meanwhile ol' churchie used to just drink wine like a fucking poofter until he shat his pants. What a fucking faggot. Only good thing he did was starving the Indians, he was otherwise incompetent. As Mosley noted.

ID might be hopping about due to a dodgy router.

Market Garden would have been perfect, if the Americans could keep to a God damned schedule. Having the 10th SS Panzer regiment at Arnhem didn't help, but if the Burgers could have secured their bridges it would have been beautiful. I suppose that's our fault for trusting them.

We actually did build some tanks https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sentinel_tank

It's not bad for a prewar tank only it was not a prewar tank so it was largly obselet by the time it would have entered service.

>>555445

Well they had to try something and he still took Italy out of the war.
