I have some complaints about /a/'s moderation but I think in general it's been good for the board. Without rules 9 and 11 in particular (/a/ is for anime, not politics, and posts should have proper spelling and grammar) I think it would be a much worse place.

There was a story (MLP fanfiction) in which a main character had "charcoal gray coat" and "white mane, and tail" but the mane had thin streaks of bright red, and gold.

I was trying to find a way to personify that pony in a gun. I've asked for suggestions before, on various boards & chans, but never got anything resembling a reply. So I guessed, and for my first cerakote job, I feel pretty good about it, although oddly the metal parts came out a very different gray than the plastic parts.

I like the plastic parts; the metal parts aren't really gray so I'm confused; they look almost green.

Yep. That day, too, I had troubles. I forget what, but I took that buffer tube on/off seven or eight times.

Once it finally looked right, I tightened it down with the wrench, which worked fine. But the whole thing needs locktite because not only does the scope fall off after two or three dozen shots, the gas block slides out, covering the gas hole in the barrel. Presto, may look normal but it's a single-shot rifle now.
