>The 1938 German Weapons Act, the precursor of the current weapons law, superseded the 1928 law. As under the 1928 law, citizens were required to have a permit to carry a firearm and a separate permit to acquire a firearm. But under the new law:

>Gun restriction laws applied only to handguns, not to long guns or ammunition. The 1938 revisions completely deregulated the acquisition and transfer of rifles and shotguns, and the possession of ammunition.[8]

>The legal age at which guns could be purchased was lowered from 20 to 18.[9]

>Permits were valid for three years, rather than one year.[9]

>More classes of user were exempt from the requirement to hold an acquisition permit; holders of annual hunting permits, government workers, and NSDAP (the National Socialist German Workers' Party) members were no longer subject to gun ownership restrictions. Prior to the 1938 law, only officials of the central government, the states, and employees of the German Reichsbahn Railways were exempted.[8]

>Manufacture of arms and ammunition continued to require a permit, with the proviso that such permits would no longer be issued to any company even partly owned by Jews; Jews could not manufacture or deal in firearms or ammunition.[8]

>15 years for merely viewing right-wing content

If the UK gov wasn't full of ideological true believers in evil I'd say they're trying to boost right-wing groups. All this will do is make those groups the rebellious counter-culture to the youth, if they weren't already, these people completely ignore the Streisand Effect.

>>520556

Yeah, I'd definitely suspect there's probably a few disgruntled groups that don't talk openly about it. The UK can try to police thoughts, actions and even the way people think but there's always going to be the unconscious thought they can't control. Resentment that boils, builds and spills out from under the lid.

Bolt action rifles. Not the worst option but the Germans who were stuck with Karabiner 98k up until 45 were pretty envious of garands and other semi-autos being introduced by the allies I'm sure.

I grew up on a single shot bolt action .22. Good starter gun that keeps you from wasting ammo. About as safe as you can get and a good stepping stone to larger calibers. AFAIK brits can still use the (((armor pericing))) rounds like 7.62 and 5.56 they just can't use them in semi-autos.

Seriously though, it has no sights. What are you going to do, aim down the picrail?

And of course it's the hobomode .50BMG where you have to break open the action and unscrew the breech block to chamber a new cartridge.

15d74f No.520976

>>520963

Are all bolt-action firearms allowed there, or are they banned based on what it chambers? For example, could you still possess a Barrett M95 even though .50 BMG is now illegal?

6fd8f5 No.521013

>>520976

AFAIK they can use the up to the .50 bmg but apparently that's getting outlawed if the OP is actually correct.7.62 and 30.06 are breddy big rounds. They're bigger than the neato nato 5.56 for sure but they don't hold a candle to .50 bmg.

Funny thing though. I don't know how many shooting sprees have taken place with .50 bullets but I'd be willing to bet it's less than .005%. Someone more keen on stats than me can probably whittle that number down further. My point is this; Most criminals aren't running around with .50 rifles to hold up liquor stores and preform drive byes. Hell, I'm willing to bet most legal gun owners don't even own a .50 caliber gun. If legislatures really wanted to curb violent gun crimes they'd go after handguns courtesy of some (((inner city hooligans))).

Gotta go after the big black assault rifles though because muh (((mass shootings))).
