Here’s a little bit of my own family history regrading my grandparents experiences during WW2.I love them dearly and thank god everyday for the moments I had spent with them. Feel free to share any similar war stories you may have. I would post this on 8/pol/ but I know the faggot mods would anchor it in a heartbeat.

My grandparents were a young Lithuanian couple madly in love; they lived in a small hamlet near the city of Riga during WW2. My grandmother got gang raped by soviets who had crossed into her village during the end of the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact. My grandfather was apprehended by them as well as all the other men in the village as “they went to town” on the women and children. My grandfather actually saw them drag my grandmother into their own home where they proceeded to…..well you know. They killed some of the older men who where openly nationalistic (including my great grandfather) but spared the ones who weren’t and forced them to swore their allegiance to the Lithuanian communist party or die on the spot.

2 years go by, Operation Barbarossa commences and the Reich retakes Lithuania. This time however, the Germans did not rape or kill innocent citizens. When they finally reached the Hamlet they actually built a clinic and some of the remaining men who weren’t killed by the soviets gladly joined the fight against them. My grandfather, his heart thirsting for revenge left the Hamlet and his broken wife and joined the Reich where he fought on the Eastern front, killing communist scum until the soviet offensive was too strong and the frontline began to dissolve. By this time my grandfather knows the war is lost and leaves the front and returns to the Hamlet. There he discovers his mother has died from pneumonia when he was away and his wife barely alive and in a catatonic state under the care of her aunt. He took my grandmother and they fled into Riga hoping the soviets would spare the city and they did. Soviet occupation commences and the nation becomes another dreadful slave of communist imperialism.

The war ends and years fly by, this time it’s sometime in the 1950’s and my grandparents begin piecing their lives back together. Then one day as my grandfather was coming home from work, god lays revenge on his lap as he made out the face of one of the Russians involved in the rape of my grandmother. The fuck was working as an adviser over seeking the construction of the soviet embassy in Riga. Suffice to say with his whole family dead and my grandmother still dealing with the psychological trauma from the rape, he wanted to dish out some fucking revenge. Although gramps never told me he killed him, I knew he had because my father told me a few years later after his death.

“So he found out the flat where the commissar was staying in the city and he hid in an alley located right before the entrance. When the fucker stepped out, he “unloaded his mauser into the bastards face”.

Or that was my father’s telling of the event.

Shortly after the homicide, my grandfather had already made arrangements to escape from Lithuania into East Germany. With the death of a high-ranking soviet citizen on his hands, he couldn’t afford to stay any longer.

After sometime, jumping from city to city, country to country working multiple dead end jobs he finally managed to secure a visa for himself and my grandmother. They landed in New York in the fall of 1958, opened up a pawn shop in Long Island and managed to start a family. By the grace of god they had many children and their business survives to this day, with many branches open throughout my hometown and I am the owner of one of them.

So when I see blackpill threads or anons bitching like faggots that they “have it hard” and are tried of suffering, I always get reminded of my grandparents and all of the shit they went through. They suffered though so much horror, my grandfather lost basically all his family in the war and had his beloved gang raped yet he never gave up no matter what happened, no matter how bad it got he never lost his spine, his faith in god or went insane. He outlived my grandmother by only a year and on his deathbed he was surrounded at all sides by dozens and dozens of his offspring. All the byproduct of his fortitude and will, the loving bond between two partners who wouldn’t let the hellfire of war destroy them.

You know, there is quite a difference between personal stories and the march of history. Had your grandfather single-handedly crushed the USSR I would understand your optimism. However, a single man alone can't stop the mills that are Western civilization.

what in the fuck does that have anything do with this guys story? How does the actions of modern Lithuanian have anything to do with the life of his grandfather who was only defending his country at the time from a foreign invader, decades before the EU even existed as a concept.

Dad signs up for Military Intel in 1965, drops out week before he starts, 3 weeks later drafted, trained as a telecommunications officer, sent to vietnam. He never talks about it, from what I can tell he was in the shit, fought in some huge battle I think it was La Drang but not sure. First day he got to vietnam, arty was going on all night, had to wait 5 days before being issued a gun. He was given an M16, never received any training on it either. Guy was originally on patrols, came back after an all day patrol, his CO who he pissed off kicks him awake telling him to move the toliets, basically a wood box over a hole, but you would have to pour gas into the shit pile and stur it as it burns. Dad says fuck off, takes a job as a radio operator for a Colonel. Mans an m60 which he was never trained on, ran a few missions into Laos, He would always sit on his flak jacket. He would also follow the Colonel around during a battle, thats where he stops talking. He got a bunch of medals including the bronze star. Had to fly in and rescue a bunch of shot up grunts. He told me story of how he got leave went to hong kong with his black friend got really wasted and missed his flight back, he called his CO who threatened to jail him so he dropped 160 bucks (months wage) getting a special flight back to base. Last week in Vietnam arty falls really short blowing up the tent he was in shrapenel misses him luckily, never said if other guys were in the tent though. After getting back to the US he said how people just stared at him in anger, he hates vetrans day for that reason. After that he had to escort some prisoners on a Pan Am flight, with a 1911 they flew coach.

Dad once let slip how his patrol was ambushed and how a bunch of his friends were killed, and another time when he was talking about La Drang (maybe another battle) he said he remembered the Colonel accidentally calling in a napalm strike on friendlies

everyone knew grandpa served in ww2, but he never really talked to me about it. all I really knew is that at home his job was servicing vending machines, and during the war he was some kind of cargo plane crew.

during his funeral, I saw he had won the silver star when he and his crew landed in an open field during a battle to drop off supplies and load wounded onboard.

mom says she saw him cry when he talked about the great depression. I know they moved from kansas to my home state and most of my family still lives in the area most effected by the dustbowl, so I can only imagine the kind of shit they had to go through then.

The Russians saw their war against the Reich as payback for operation Barbarossa and the average Russian solider was a brainwashed and staved peasant who would’ve gladly looted or raped any citizen they came across, even their own. While the Reich did get it’s hands dirty, rape of citizens was strictly forbidden by high command and punishable by death. The Soviets had no such restraint, one famous example is the mass rapes that occurred during the occupation of Berlin.

>One day Gramps notices that the local deer tend to drink from the other side of the river they've been patrolling around for the last forever

>Can't shoot the deer like the tigers way out innajungle

>Back at base one of them comes up with the idea of using a claymore mine to get a deer considering they've got a bunch lying around

>If it can fuck a man up, it can fuck a deer up

>Gramps and another guy go out early in the morning, cross the river and set this thing up and go back to the otherside to hide from the soon to be main course of a BBQ

>They're sitting in the bushes playing cards or some shit until the detonator decides to move on its own

>wtf.jpg

>Grabs the detonator and sets the mine off

>Turns out Charlie was about to trap the patrol rout until his found this odd American mine staring at him in the face and figured it would be a good idea to take it back to his tunnel because it didn't go off.

>They got their deer the next day though with a mine.

Let's see: Grandpa didn't talk much about the war. The combat at least. Was drafted late, tried to keep his ass out of combat because he knew the war was lost anyway. Joined a paratrooper division and ended up in the Netherlands in 1944, said it was the worst winter he ever experienced. Was very impressed by mobile V2 launches he saw in the distance, saw deployment of a weapon system that looked like the Ba 349 Natter and told of rumors about superweapons that swirling around then.

Got captured by the Americans. POW camp was horrible, just a giant fenced in area without shelter.

Strangely the Americans were actively trying to recruit Germans to fight the Japanese. A few did take the offer and were sent to the US for training but the war ended before their deployment but most settled in the US and took citizenship.

Managed to flee from the POW camp later and settled with fake discharge documents in the Soviet sector.

My Cousins great-gramps used to be in charge of Mao's security during the Chinese Civil War, and after till like the 70s. Old man grew up in the middle of fuck nowhere village in some backwater mountain.

He never really told us much, I think he was really disappointed in a lot of the things that happened after Mao died. Although I heard he talks to my cousin even less Cause hes the chink version of blue pill, "Mao did nothing wrong, Deng's reforms are real communism, it's okay to be a wage slave cause "It's better than food stamps" (There was no money back then, ration stamps 4 everything). and "China will BTFO the japs if a war starts (LMAO)"

The so called "Luding bridge" where the CCP supposedly beatback the warlords with machine (gattling, hand cranked me thinks is what they mean) guns and crossed the bridge.

What's bullshit is the fact that there was no "bridge to speak of" It was literally just three metal chains with wood planks at the middle of the bridge. They had to craw across that thing.

Oh also, most warlords had like muskets then, and most of them didn't even have guns from what I'm told

Another story was that the 8th route army was responsible for "important" disruption of Japanese supply lines. What a load of bull **When your running like an idiot with your ass on fire every-time an armor car comes to town because you dont have grenades, or have only shitty "homemade" ones,

Does military "policing action" Eg; Tianmen 1989 count? I have quite the few from those MFW both sides are fucking idiots during that and the Cultural Revolution.

Tianmen stories.

The so called "troops shooting at students" is only part of the story. I remember my mum saying that there was a couple regiments sent without actual weapons, (they used plastic ones). That ended up with the civies massacring like ~40 to 100 of that group. They cut there heads off and stuck em on the bridge pillars over Chongwenmen bridge on Beijing's second ring road Rumors also spread that they did rape some of the female aux units there, so that probably did cause part of the massacre

Well, most of the troops were armed unfortunately. We used to live right next to the National University of Political Commissioners, which is near the mountains in Western Beijing. They sent troops in there, and because back then they didn't have a good a road system, there was only one real main road that led to Beijing. Remember the tank-man?? What happened was basically a lot of the non-student Civvies blocked the only tank-passable road into the city IKR lol? and wouldn't let them pass, and you got kinda like one of those NG standoffs staring at each other like Kent state but with no shots.

My mum was there only on the last two days before the shooting started. My gramps lived through several purges in the Cultural Revolution and the Great Leap Forward, and he saw the writing of the Newspaper change a bit back to the Cultural Revolution wording, and instantly went "Oh shit" and walked 20km to get my mum back home. The Shooting started 2 hours after they left

I had met a couple of my parents friends who attended Tienanmen before Or 6/4 in China they say. They said a lot of them just started running after the bullets started flying and people just dropped like flies. One was really lucky, he ran into someone's home and they "pretended" that he was their sick child Who just also happened to have been shot and bleeding on the side of the left arm. Lucky bastard, lot of them got shot in the backs and spines. The ones who survived and couldn't run got bayoneted through or shot again. The guy who hid stayed in that house for three weeks before he left. He can thank his teacher covering his ass cause that teach was a CCP member.

I think though, there was a defection/mutiny in one of the armies, wiki had a link on it but I forget, and you had some infantry divisions"drinking tea" Read, euphemism for: Detaining with others lol. It didn't really end well for the commanders or their troops, I think they either got gulag'd or shot, mostly gulag'd, but my mum said that they carried out like 12 sth executions in an hour, cause the police stations got the large Bulitin boards, and they used print the faces of those with the death penalty and then proceed to check em off with red sharpies. She said that next Mondays list was so long they couldn't see half of the faces

The main reason Tienanmen was crushed was not because of the student movement, but because it represented a fissure within the CCP that led to India annexing Southern Tibet. On top of which, the general (albeit not publicly stated) consensus is that the movement leaders were traitors operating under a certain enemy of /pol/.. Hmmmm They left the protest when the government sent their "Stern notice of eviction" (The one my gramps went "oh shit" on) with their US passports and fled.

I also lost uncle in law in that. Cause he was a doc trying to treat the wounded Some say he was one of the main organizers' XO, but idk…. They shot him and didn't tell my aunt for 10 years. They just said, "It's in your best interest to divorce him". Take of that what you will.

>Tells me to shoot the libs to protect muh freedoms.

>Proceeds to ran about how he treated Nam vets from the Chinese side (He used to be X-Ray technician)

>Asks what he remembers

>Tells story about how they treated some guy who was in a font line position during either Dak To or Tet.

"The guy was on a strategic hill, and the Americans shelled it so hard that he was knocked unconscious, woke up, and realized he had no legs and only one arm (other was cut off at elbow later). He was hungry but everyone around him was dead. So he pulled his own (now blind) left eyeball out and ate it."

>ask what happen to him

"He became a successful businessman (small company) after we had to amputate both his arms below the elbow.

>Ask how

"He told me that he told his mum to lock him in the back shed with some sugar cane place on a rack on top of him. And not to help him at any costs. Took him a couple weeks until he could write with his mouth and walk with his arms by using a trolley (flatbed)"

>That's some serious dedication

"He got in a fight some years back (this was in 2008) and won against two hoodlums by using the metal trolley smack one and then to bite the other guys neck open."

>Ask where he is

>Executed cause one of the kids parents was a high ranking party member (of the area)

I think he was too scared that they might shoot his family cause its a bad thing when one of Mao's Security detail leaders criticize him. Everyone criticizes Jianzemin for being a traitor cause "Kamchaka and all of Haishenwai is part of China!" due to the "border agreement" he signed with the russians resolving the border dispute. (He hinted that Jiang wasn't the point, and it was just a euphemism)

Here's some background information before I get into the story:

>Grandpa was an infantry officer (later airborne) in the Vietnam War

>Did 3 tours, was awarded 2 purple hearts

>Worked for the Pentagon afterwards

>Was in ridiculously good shape, could run marathons well into his 40s and 50s

>Hardly ever talks about his experiences in Vietnam, except on rare occasions he tells funny stories like the time he magdumped a cobra

Alright, here's the story:

>Was eating dinner with grandpa a few years ago

>He always orders calamari or whatever the weirdest shit they have on the menu is

>Ask him why he does this

>Tells me it's from years of traveling around the world and acquiring new tastes, specifically Vietnam in the 60s and 70s (apparently Vietnamese mouse deer are good eating) and Afghanistan in the 80s

>Hold the fuck up

>Afghanistan in the 80s

>Ask him about this

>Tells me he didn't have much of a choice when it came to food, as he and his buddies were always moving at night for safety reasons (needed to keep a low profile), and were doing intelligence work during the day, and as a result didn't have much time to eat

>Apparently he was researching "cells" in the region

>He didn't elaborate any further after this

For those of you that don't know, the only US boots on the ground in Afghanistan during the Russian-Afghan War (which occurred in the 80s) were CIA spooks who were arming the Mujahideen and presumably spying on the Russians.

Next time I see him I'm going to ask him about this again

TL;DR grandpa was either a CIA spook, ISA operator, or motherfucking SOG

CIA spooks and SOG guys won't fucking spill a word until they think they're on their deathbed. Nothing like my grandfather the night before his heart surgery calling me spilling his guts about the fucked shit he did and me getting a visit later in the week to keep my mouth shut.

I'd leave it be. Most of the stuff those guys did is still classified information, nothing like getting a service record which looks like someone had a heyday with a sharpie.

My dad flew missions for CIA in the 60s in nam mostly into Cambodia, all lights off, the guys he said always had some black tinted sunglasses on them even if it was night. During those missions he was ordered to never return fire because the gooks just blind fired flak and aa on occcasion at low altitudes around all their bases

Sounds bad, it was probably Chinese shooting at himin Cam, not the soviets or viets..

Sounds bad. I hear that during the Soviets in Afghan, the Chinese CIA operatives just ran arms through the Pakis along with US. And also "kept" Read: pretended to not know several training centres in Xinjiang.

Family friend, called Uncle by us younger ones. He was my Grandfathers best friend, was a bit of a drifter and a drinker. He almost never spoke about his experience as a soldier, but sometimes, late at night, if he'd had a few, he'd tell a story. I was really young, but one story stuck out.

He told me about how he was trained. Simple set up, he was helicoptered toward an island, dropped a few miles off the coast in the dark. He'd have to swim around and find his boat, an inflatable with all the gear he'd need. He'd take the boat to the island, infiltrate into the island a few miles without getting caught, 'acquire' his target, get back to his boat and launch back into the ocean so he could get picked up.

Later in my life, watching random show about the early days of american Black Ops. Don't remember the name of it, but they talk about how they were trained and laid out, basically step by step, the exact same scenario my Uncle had well over a decade earlier. It was training to kidnap or assassinate a high value target.

>mfw I realize my 'Uncle' was Special Forces, maybe even Black Ops and that's why he drank and never talked about what he did in the military

>men in black

More of a dark navy but yeah. They harassed my grandfather less than 16 hours after his heart surgery, god damn they were pricks until I told them someone had a bead on them and it was easy for people to missing in my neck of the woods.

>spooky shit

Usually speaking its classified information that falls in a not so grey area, as in the sort of shit that would cause an immense amount of diplomatic asshurt, just out right illegal/warcrime sort of shit or both. A lot of the Air America stuff fell into the latter half.

Actually its more like the Obsidian Order of cardassia, since no one talks about them but they can do assasinations in or out of the country. Like fbi, cia, nsa, dhs and kgb put together.

Grandpa was a surgeon on a hospital ship in WW2. He has boxes full of framed photos, unfortunately he also has Alzheimers and he can't remember how to speak let alone tell me about his glory days. Odd thing is that there's a fuck-ton of photos of the guy posing in front of various british military aircraft on a large paved airfield, not sure what that'd mean but I intend to ask the family about it now that this thread has jogged my memory.

03a585 No.515570

I don't know in detail, but here's an interesting war story that you can only have from having a degenerate mixed race heritage

>be me 8 years old

>be oz happ mongrel

>read about ww2 in the pacific in one of those horrible history books

>ask my father about war and if gramps fought

>says that he didn't but his brother did

>cool.jpg

>ask mum about ww2

>ask same thing, gramps didn't but uncle did

>nice.jpeg

>later that evening dad says that he recalled that both my great uncles fought on the same front Singapore or Burma

>my maternal great uncle was a guard at one of the Japanese camps and my paternal great uncle was a prisoner there

>great uncle on paternal side stays alive until end of the war and come back with both one thumb missing

>great uncle returns to japan but returns to his destroyed home and his wife missing which essentially means she died

>both of my great uncles professed hate for each side until they died

So in honour of both my great uncles I'd like to finish off with

NANKING NEVER HAPPENED

and

DROP ANOTHER NUKE ON JAPAN
