First off, the fact that I'm even making a thread about his makes me feel like a fucking retard, but I've actually come around to the idea of it. I'd honestly like to learn the language and just move there. No weeb faggot shit, just moving out into the country and ingratiating with the culture. America seems to be getting worse by the month for reasons that I'm sure you all are cognisant of, and well it seems that japan isn't really having those problems. What are some ways to gain full-time residence in Japan? What are the things I should know/think about before truly committing to the idea. I also would like to see if other anons have similar thoughts about moving.

Theres the JET program, which basicly lets you do a japanese language profiency test and if you pass it you are allowed to move to japan as a english teacher.Theres also the Eikaiwa_school, I haven't really done any research about it, but I hear that it allows you to live in japan as a salesman/teacher with no japanese knowledge needed. Also check out your countries goverment to see if they have any programs for finding work in other countries, maybe you can get some support that way.

That being said, what's the point of moving to japan if you aren't a weeb? Ever since WW2 is pretty much just a american subsidiary. Yeah sure, you might now have as many niggers there, but that's not going to last forever.

I'm sure many people have had the same thought as you for at least a millisecond in their life, but like Japan is just a place. Pretty shit for non-Japanese and pretty shit for Japanese people there as well. Prepare for disappointment and emptiness as you realize everything is just as bland and empty as back home.

All in all, the best way to experience Japan is to visit as a foreigner, staying idk. If you seriously insist though, visit for a while and see how it is.

Well you're on the right track to make Japan just as much of a shithole as the one you're trying to crawl out of is.

Why not instead endeavor to study what makes Japan good and try to bring that home instead of being another ignorant retard who thinks he's somehow not part of the reason everything around him is horrible?

Living in Japan is something I've been thinking for a few years, and still have a lot of years ahead to assert myself before acting.

Moving to another country (not just JP) just because you don't like the current society and culture that surrounds you is bullshit. It's an arrogant attitude and you'll most likely start feeling the same way once you integrate into japanese culture, as no. >>44760 already mentioned.

Stating that you're not going because of anime "weeb faggot shit" doesn't make it more convincing, alas, it would probably only improve one's experience since you're in a country where anime is much more popular, making it easier to visit lives, buy toys, exclusives and stuff, basically feeling a bit more at home. Nonetheless, this shouldn't be your only reason, and don't be deluded by the way Japan is protrayed in animu.

With that said, sure, it's ok to not be satisfied with the status quo in your current country, and preferring the state of affairs of Japan over your own country's. Yes, all of the folks browsing /jp/ 's across the interwebz love Japanese culture. But you're gonna fail hard if you don't have a more solid, long-term goal you can commit to such as self-improvement, investing in a career, etc...

Try to think about certain aspects of Japanese culture that you picture as unique, exotic, perhaps idilic or desirable. This could be something like the transportation system, work culture, neighborhood associations, etc... Now try to imagine living those things in a daily grind. The catchy station jingles, riding the Chuo kaisoku, all of it becomes a crappy routine. Having to leave home a hour and half earlier just for the train ride, overtime until 6, 7 or 8, the hassle of garbage disposal...

For a lot of people, this may be desirable. Maybe it makes them feel more integrated into society, or forces them to be more responsible. Whatever the case, you must accept the new reality.

The important thing to remember is that some problems from your old country disappear, but new ones arise. There is no paradise on Earth.

The JET program doesn't require you to pass any Japanese language tests. You do need a university degree of some sort and you need to be able to pass an English test because you're going to Japan to teach English there. That said, the pay is apparently shit but it is a good opportunity to check out the place and learn the language while you're there.

if you don't like your country, why would you move to someone else's? won't you just make theirs more like yours? it's like if you took a big fat smelly shit in your house and it clogged the toilet, so instead of fixing it you decided that from now on you'll just go shit in your friend's house instead, when the real problem is you need a better diet and to buy a plunger.

Not OP but what the fuck is that thought process?

My country is full of arab immigrants behaving rudely and giving a shit about our culture, how exactly do I change that for example?

There is a big difference between that and someone who immigrates into a country with the goal to adapt to it.

It's a retarded analogy placing all the blame on the OP. A better one would be if millions of people invaded your house, started living there full time, shit all over everything, and then started fucking and pushing out tons of babies while all your friends and neighbors cheered them on and demanded you accept your new shitty overpopulated home.
