Exactly. Verse 190 of Al-Baqarah clearly state that you took up arms against those who do mean to harm you but to not go overboard…and the next verse is a continuation of 190, do battle with them and get rid of them as they did to you i.e in the context of "they wage war upon you" They saw the "kill them where you find them and NOTHING else.
