Look brother, the age doesn't matter, we don't need to take these apologist approaches when talking about this topic. The fact that this only became an issue in very recent history, shows how absurd the notion is. The hadith is deemed sahih (authentic) by majority of the ulama, I don't know who you refer to as the old man with dementia maybe someone in the chain of narration, maybe you can provide a source for that, but the hadith was narrated by Aisha (RA) herself.

The age doesn't matter, why? Because we know for sure that she was well into puberty when she consummated her marriage:

So she could've been 9 or 19, doesn't matter. Yes I know that theory that from cross referencing people can calculate that she was actually 19, that in common language when speaking people would usually drops the 10's, so 6 meant 16 and 9 meant 19, though there are some issues I heard with this method, that there are other narrations that don't line up and give the same numbers.

So we shouldn't be relying on this, we shouldn't have to try to defend our morality, to people who can't substantiate their own morality. People according to the western liberal paradigm cannot prove why paedophilia is wrong, or what the age of consent should be, no evidence scientific or otherwise. As Muslims we have clear ruling that pedophile relations are haram.

Show me the evidence, where in the Quran or hadith does it give a specific age for marriage?

No one mentioned pubic hair. This hadith was also narrated by Aisha herself, where she said she was well into puberty while she was still living with her parents.

well this is clearly wrong, girls start puberty today way earlier. And the biggest issue is you're comparing 9 year olds today to what a 9 year old would've looked and acted like 1400 years ago in nowhere, Arabia. Even if you go to poor countries today, you'll see those that we would call kids, they're working like adults to try to feed their families, their life expectancy are much lower, its not practical for us to put the same standard on them to to wait till marrying at late 20s to 30yo.

Like do you know why in the west they made the age of consent higher to 16/18? Look up the history, it wasn't because of science, or medicine, it was feminist activists who pushed for it, because young women were prostituting, before that age of consent in the west was 9-12.

And lets also not conflate the two, we are not talking about sex here, we're talking about marriage, the kuffar are just talking about sex. The Islamic marriage process has a lot of measures in place to insure there is not immorality, its not the couple involved, its the parents and the community, this way they evaluate the psychological maturity, if the community is against it then they can't get married. Thats why for us today in western nations, we're not going to marry that young, because culturally for us its wrong.

No, you can't. There are literally zero countries in the world that have an age of consent as low as 9. The absolute lowest age of consent is Nigeria and that's currently 12 with (WITH) parental permission. Nearly all Muslim countries have the age of marriage at 15 or 16. It's always funny to see Islamicucks performing mental gymnastics when it comes to this issue. They blindly believe in such ridiculous lies about the Prophet (Peace be upon him) and try to say "it was okay back in the day." No it wasn't. It never was. Such people are brainlets who can't stop to think for themselves. The fact is, Aisha (ra) was of marriage age, meaning she entered puberty a.k.a. she was a teenager, and thus not a "child." Child marriages are inherently unacceptable and they don't happen in Islamic countries UNLESS both parties are prepubescent children. You will read about "child marriages" being widespread in Islamic countries and how the west is fighting this, but in reality they are talking about anyone below 18. A 20 year old male marrying a 17 year old female is considered a "child" marriage because the female is below the age of 18 and western organizations, consisting of liberals, are trying to ban such marriages. Clearly, a 17 year old is not a child, no matter what people want you to believe, so what they are doing makes no sense. Nowadays, however, it is considered problematic even among Islamic women (whom were born and raised in the west) for a 30-something year old marrying an 18 year old. I even have a friend who says anyone below the age of 20 is a child in his eyes, keep in mind that he is 23 himself. What a joke. It's getting more ridiculous by the day.
