…I love to eat pork so much.

I can't imagine a World without pork, rabbits.

Why don't you let people eat whatever they want?

Do you know how pork tastes?

It tastes like lamb, but seasoned by the Nature itself - + the seasoning ingredients. Its toasted skin mixed with its fat, when you give it a bite, it feels like if you're eating sweet bread.

They're animals very easy to raise, and one very good source of meat.

I was born and raised as a Methodist on a farm in the southern US. Yes, I know what pork tastes like. It's delicious, but isn't worth eternal hellfire.

A person can convert to Islam, recognize that eating pork is a sin, and continue to eat pork while doing all of the other Islamic requirements. It is possible. As long as you recognize the fact that you are sinning, it is acceptable. If you say that it is okay for you to eat pork, it is not acceptable. But you really should stop eating pork if you are going to convert to Islam.

I miss eating pork. I also miss drinking Heineken beer and gambling. Just because something is enjoyable doesn't make it worth the cost of doing it by earning sins.

I used to love pork. Ham was my favorite dish at Thanksgiving, and the weeks after picking at it and making sandwiches were great. It's now about 1.5 yrs since I accepted Islam and I don't desire it in the slightest.

What is better than doing something for God?

Pork is a dirty animal to eat.. simultaneously it is one of the closest related to humans where DNA and hormones come into play.. so it really messes with your system as some pig hormones are identified as endogenous (ie, made by your own body) hormones even though they're foreign.

Its carcinogenic compared with other meat.. certainly not the most unhealthy thing people do, but completely unnecessary too..

Muslims often break halal without knowing it.. if they stick with halal meat from a reputable source, they're okay.. but many will go eat at regular restaurants, enjoy bottom feeding poop eaters like shrimp.. I know very few muslims that don't eat chinese food.. chinese food is almost guaranteed not-halal.. even if you order a vegetarian dish..

My 2 cents, but I'm not a good muslim, so you would need to keep researching.

The meaning of the verse should be clear. You can eat all edible things that are caught from the sea.

Are you trying to suggest that the Quran is being stupid, or are you just trying to be a smartass? Maybe you know better than the Quran when it comes to what can and cannot be eaten. Shrimp should be haram since you know better than the Quran, I mean it is common sense.

Because 1000 years ago you were much more likely to get disease or illness from pork than other meats.

All I want to know is, who was the first person to look at a wild pig, with its coarse quill-like hair and beady little predator eyes and sharp tusks, reeking of mud and musk and blood and death, and who was this absolute madman who looked at this creature and thought "mmmm, dinner time" ?

I can only imagine this person must have been PRETTY dang hungry.

It certainly takes a lot less energy to grab and eat some grasshoppers, so it's efficient; but if you've got a household to feed, it's best to go for the larger, fatty pig that also has skin you can use for clothing or shelter. The primitive dude who first chose to eat pigs probably saw protein + a coat.

Islam makes 0 sense. All of a sudden it is ok to sin? Never heard god mention that in the torah.. Same god? lol

>All of a sudden it is ok to sin?

It's not ok, but it is inevitable. You can no more avoid sin then you can walk between the drops of rain. You just have to learn to recognize when you sin and ask forgiveness and try to not sin again. Even Torah recognized different levels of sin and the impossibility of avoiding it and the importance of repentance.
