Mashallah brother. Been all over the place with my workouts last few months since I've been busy and don't have much access to workout equipment so I've been constantly improvising. I mainly do calisthenics and weighted calisthenics. I've more recently started blood flow restriction/occlusion training, and seeing good results. But I've always had trouble gaining mass.

I'm trying to get bigger and stronger so that when martial arts gyms open up again I'll be strong enough. And in long term I can fight for my Lord, Inshallah.

What would you bros recommend for diet, to get big, especially cheap sources of protein?

Hello brother, nice to see the fitness thread here. I am doing good and am building a home gym.

milk and chicken are cheap protein sources, although if you ask me the best quality sources are eggs. You also need a good amount of carbs and fats to fuel you, so brown rice is a good cheap source of carbs, and Milk can give both fats and proteins. For now, focus on eating as much as possible and training for strength and size using weighted squats, pushups, and pullups. Focus on progressive overload as well.

Can atheists workout here too? I hope yes because I am one. I respect you all and hope we can workout peacefully together

I do the one punch man workout. It is pretty cool especially if you are too lazy to find a good 25min full body workout.

What brings you here, if you are an atheist?

Are you islamo-curious? I hope Allah guides you to His righteously-guided path.

I'd say its a waste of time, its just a meme workout. You should focus on quality in exercises, not just doing them for reps. And will especially just be putting unnecessary stress on your body, increasing risk of injury, especially if you're doing it everyday.

>>43523

I usually spend one day focused on upper body and legs, and another day on arms, since I also do calisthenics/weighted calisthenics, the exercises I do are usually compound and target multiple muscles. I usually keep it simple and just do 4 exercises, split the 4 into groups of two, and do 4 reverse pyramid sets of each (for example first set is 8 reps, second is 7, third 6, last is 5). This way I keep it simple as possible, im not dreading to do the workouts everyday.

When it comes to building muscle its based on three things, muscle tension, metabolic stress, and muscle damage, or more simply, the work done by the muscle, the pump, and the mechanical stress you put on the muscle. So first group of two are usually exercises I use to focus on the muscle damage, basically these are the hard 2 exercises I do. Then for the second group I have 2 exercises that I do to focus on the pump, to inflate and get the blood rushing in these muscles, and what I've recently started doing is blood restriction training along with them, which I feel really helps.

I always try to change it up and use different exercises every day. I'll usually take a rest day once or twice a week.

Advice: Add Pull-ups and calf raises to your routine to avoid muscle imbalances

anyone here interested in bodybuilding? A lot of shows are haram to compete in because you uncover awrah in front of women, but I am interested in starting All-muslim bodybuilding competitions, they can be online or in-person. I could start a discord group, IRC, telegram or something if you guys want to participate

The guy in your vid related didn't gain much muscle, he mostly just lost the fat. He looks bigger because of multiple fraud camera techniques, first off he's obviously taking the vid of day 100 right after a workout when his muscles are pumped and swole, whereas the other pics he hasn't, second the camera is closer and possible a wider angle lens making him look bigger, and third the lighting is very different with the goal of creating shadows for the lines of his muscles.

I'm not saying its not going to do anything, but if you look at the results in real life, you'll be disappointed.

I've been told by Muslims that fasting during and after Ramadan is good for one's health. It can aid in the goals of many popular exercise programs. How true is this?
