I'm a Muslim and let me tell you, we also act the same. Our deen encourage us to spread our message, we consider those who differ as inferior, 'conversion by force and subversion' isn't far fetched in many Islamic groups who are more than happy to provide the both of us proof from scripture.

The reason we are better than the kuffar is that we follow Islam, the truth. That is essentially the only reason we are better than them. When we criticize the kuffar for their violence, it is because they are spreading KUFR and oppressing MUSLIMS. The violence in and of itself is not bad.
They are inferior to us because they are kuffar and we are Muslims. Indeed, they are the worst of the creatures, worse than dogs and flies and worms. At least those things worship Allah.
It doesn't matter how much the methodology for spreading Islam is similiar to the methodologies the kuffar adopted, that is secondary.
Indeed, jihad is the best way for spreading Islam.
