There are numerous ahadith in which the Prophet (saws) prohibited images of living creatures and said that the one who makes such images will be punished in the most severe manner.

However in this world we live in, images are all around us; we see images almost everywhere we look and they're almost unavoidable. We are even posting on an imageboard.

Even in my own household, I wasn't even previously aware of just how many things have images on them. Bowls, cups, plates, book covers, product packaging, clothes, greeting cards, furniture, toys… and many, many more things.

I'm very torn and worried about this problem, since there doesn't seem to be an easy solution or an easy way to get rid of all these things. I don't want Allah ta'aala to punish us for falling short of what the Messenger (saws) ordered us to do… I hope He will forgive us.

Just because it's normal in America to sodomize with a man, gamble, and reveal yourself doesn't mean any is less of a sin.

You can hide all images on this board and lower your gaze when in public.

Those things aren't "normal" in America, they are merely tolerated.

Images just point to things they represent, no different than words.

Words are symbolic images of the things they represent. My friend had a bumper sticker that says: 'Allah is Greatest', on his car.

After years of browsing /a/ and /v/ and in general nerd culture, where human or anthropomorphize creatures being created, drawn or CG, I can now totally see why the prophet's p.b.u.h, are so against artistic depiction of living creatures. We humans are weirdly wired to be attracted to them. Some that can discern between reality and fantasy, but alot of people cannot, especially if those characters are depicted to be figures of great beauty, are relatable, heroic. It's much like the celebrity and idol business.

A lot of people enjoy reading pornographic, degenerate, atheistic, violent and harmful literature. This sort of argumentation would ban words themselves.

I don't know akhi. For all I know, I haven't seen a weeb masturbating to writings about their waifu. All they seem to care about how they look. The hardcore otaku would probably defend or argue his love for his waifu based on his/her character (writing). But a lot are attracted by artistic depiction of the character.

Girls masturbate to fiction and fan-fiction. Men need more visual stimulus, but romance novels with tons of sex scenes are kryptonite for women, married and unmarried.

Point is don't tailor your interpretations and theology to the lowest common-denominator and what they MIGHT do.>>40699

It's hopeless; the human need, will, desire and skills to create art are too strong and important to logically be deduced to nothing. It's aspect in islam is just one of the many things that were ripped off from orthodoxy, only during the crisis of iconoclasm, which was ruled out. Become orthodox
