Is it worth my time arguing about Islam on the Internet?

Usually, no. You should defend Islam, but there's not much point when you're on a place like /pol/ or whatever. You'll just end up spending 24/7 arguing with children.

You mean defending. No. You're a barbarian no matter what your defense is.

PROTIP: Pretend to be one of them and explain, in detail, why Muslims and Nazis are on the same team. Provide relevant Hitler quotes (there are some, he praised Islam).
If they disagree, accuse them of being a degenerate or anti-white. Be prepared to explain why.
This is one of my favorite trolling strategies.

That just sounds like a good way to get /pol/acks flooding here and trying to make this a "White Shariah" board.

I'm at the "defeatist" stage where I don't really care about other people's opinion anymore. However, if people are asking a genuine question, I would wholeheartedly try to answer to the best of my knowledge.

That's pretty much the attitude I take with it. I became Muslim in November 2004 and, over the years, have learned to pick my battles.

Although some brothers and sisters here told me to not be a defeatist, but my sinful and ignorant self just feels like I'm not the one that should be talking about islam. And as a born muslim, the fact at how ignorant am I about my own religion that I was taught since I was a kid, just saddens and frustrates me that I can't counter people's argument despite the fact that I was born muslim. It's also a shame to me to see reverts that know more about Islam than me and is more of a muslim than me.

I don't think that verse is telling us that we shouldn't invite others to Islam.

Me neither. It does seem like it's saying not to argue about Islam on the internet though.

>argue with them in a way that is best
Precisely, though I'd submit that internet screaming matches and constant, 24/7 responding to trolls isn't a "way that is best".

I learn to pick my battles because there's nothing more futile than arguing with some "enlightened" Western liberal (doubly so if it's some head up his rear end atheist or self-centered homosexual who's only reason to hate us is "I don't get to be gay") but if someone is genuinely interested, I'll tell them what's up to the best of my abilities.

IMO, the most productive thing you can do is clear any misconceptions and falsehoods being spread by anti-Islam users.
I don't think it is best for novices to attempt philosophical debates, though.
