The 4 schools are all respected but not all of them could be right, I guess the saudi scholar said this because they rule according to hanbali fiqh, but in reality, it would be a mix of all these madhbabs depending on which one has the correct opinion, based on the apparent meaning of the quran, sunnah, and ijma' sahaba.

Ibn Taymiyyah was a revolutionary scholar, he was truly a genius and refuted all types of bid'ah. Only extremists hate him.

And as for walaa wal baraa, it is not as hard as memorizing al baqarah brother, but it is easy and necessary for your iman to be complete. Do you know what it is in the first place? Seems like you have a misunderstanding.

Memorization is nothing compared to understanding. I can program a computer to recite the entire Qur'an, but that doesn't make the computer a believer.

Huh? Salafis are not maliki or hanbali. Salafi is a manhaj not a madhab. Salafi laymen are athari in aqeedah but in terms of fiqh they will usually stick to one madhab. Salafi scholars may issue rulings derived from various madahab from what they perceive to be the strongest.

So when I say western muslims gravitate towards salafism and malikism what I mean is in aqidah the most popular is athari and in fiqh the most popular is Maliki. North Africa and is the closest muslim lands to Europe and America and the Maliki school of law is strong there so it makes sense.

I am athari revert yet I will follow the same basic maliki fiqh as ashari reverts like Hamza Yusuf and Suhaib Webb. My differences with them are in creed, not jurisprudence.

It's definitely the meme-branch. New converts always want to LARP as Daesh, which is Salafi. Just like new Christians always want to LARP as Crusaders. New converts are always extremists until they spend enough time as Muslim and learn that extremism is not what Islam is about. Then they either settle down and truly learn or they apostate because "true Islam is kinda boring".

Ibn Taymiyah was a great scholar who has many great books about Islam. There are some people who dislike him, but people who speak the truth will always have some very vocal critics. Not because they are doing anything wrong, but the people that criticize themselves have a problem with the truth.

Nothing is going to make you a 'kafiir forever'. As long as you are doing the obligatory prayers and actions and avoiding the haram things you will be fine. It is better to gain fundamental knowledge of some tafsir, hadith, fiqh and other things before you just start memorizing a bunch of Quran that you don't know the meaning of. When the Sahaba RA used to memorize the Quran, they would memorize a few verses and then memorize all of the meanings for them. That is why it took them years to memorize surah Bakarah, because they knew all of the meanings of all of the verses.

The 4 schools of Fiqh largely overlap on the most basic issues. There are a few times when they have different rulings, but even during those times you don’t have to necessarily stick to one mathhab. You can follow what you think is the strongest opinion, or stick to one mathhab if you want. Don’t try to think that you are in some kind of hurry to learn. You can take your time and try to learn what you can, when you are able. The works of Ibn Taymiyah and the classical scholars are good to learn from.

No one was talking about ISIS, they were debating on which mathhab Salafis follow. Then you came in and called Salafis a 'meme branch'. You don't offer any explanation as to why, all you can do is throw around buzzwords and equate them to ISIS. If you think all Salafis are ISIS you aren't using logic, since there are many Salafis who have spoken out against ISIS, using actual arguments, on youtube and other places.

Assuming all Salafis are ISIS is the issue. No one made any mention of ISIS, except troll boy.

The Prophet PBUH told us to follow him as an example, and that his generation was the best generation, then the one after that, then the one after that. Following those generations (the Salaf) would mean being a Salafi. It isn't even a solid denomination. Many Sunnis claim to follow the way of the Salaf and don't openly proclaim themselves to be Salafi wherever they go.

Our Imam has never called himself a Salafi that I know of, but he says that 'we shouldn't celebrate the Prophet's PBUH birthday' and similar things. Many Muslims with animosity to Salafis would label him as being one (especially those who enjoy celebrating the Prophet's birthday and similar things).

No, they don't. That is what the Shaytan and their slaves want you to believe. Taligay is abandoning jihad and uniting with the kuffar to fight the Islamic State.(vid related)

Al-Qaeda has got astray from the path a long time ago, things only went downwards after Shaykh Usama Bin-Laden (RA) got martyred. Al-Zawahiri is clearly a puppet and a tyrant. In Somalia, for an example, in Shabaab territory, the AQ murtad leaders are fat and useless tyrants who kill everyone who doesn't suck their d*ck. They are known as "Nourished in Haram" as for how fat and tyrannical they are. Al-Zawahiri declared war against the Islamic State, not the other way around. I think I don't even to say anything about the taghut murtad militias in Syria. About the civilians, well, you should think about the millions and millions of children, women and men killed mercilessly by the kuffar. These mass shootings are nothing compared to seeing your entire family burnt to death by bombs dropped by the kuffar, and such actions are supported by the civilians of these criminal countries such as France. Ever heard about the massacre of Baghouz? I guess not, since you're so defensive about the kuffar and their enablers.

And I'm not the one pushing ISIS in every single thread. Is that moderate munafik LARPer from /pol/ trying to divert the brothers from the path. If you're going to permaban someone, ban him, not me.

>If you're going to permaban someone, ban him, not me.

When I first started this board, people from /pol/ flooded over here to LARP as ISIS and/or al-Qaeda. There was one industrious fellow who even set himself up with the persona of a Bedouin. He even faked pics and typed in broken English. The LARPing stopped being amusing after a few weeks, but I allowed it. I kept it to a couple of threads until someone created the board /islamicstate/ (now gone) and I could send them over there. I still had to deal with the LARPers for a while because nobody could believe that a board existed that had actual Muslims on it. Other religious boards had similar problems, but we all found our own way to deal with it.

Then, one day, I got a visit from the FBI. While it was a very amicable visit and they just wanted some information about me personally, the reason for the visit was obvious. I'm not putting my family through that again for a bunch of anonymous 8channers who want to pretend to be all hard core jihadis and sing the praises of groups like ISIS and al-Qaeda. I don't even want the potential appearance of me allowing it because if I do allow it, two things are going to happen:

1] I will lose this board. It will be taken over by globals or it will be deleted by the Admin for violation of Global Rule 1.

2] I will be visited again and again by the FBI, maybe even landing myself in jail and, well, I'm not going to jail for you to "answer the lies and misconceptions".

It is the policy of this board that anyone the United States has declared to be a terrorist organization is also considered a terrorist organization by this board. Anyone who claims to be a part of such organizations will be banned as per Global Rule 1 and possibly reported to the FBI (yes, I do still have contact information on the agents who visited me so I don't have to go through the tip line) if I deem there to be a credible threat. There is no lie or misconception: ISIS and al-Qaeda are enemies of the United States and, thus, are enemies of this board. If you do not like that policy, then you are welcome to make your own board and run it as you see fit for as long as you can.

Why are you trying to get me banned? Maybe you didn't understand the "I try my best to not transgress the limits when I post in this board".

As per BO no daesh/aq bolsterism. But let’s discuss matters not thought police one another. Words speak for themselves not implications and inferences. Everybody just chill. We dont allow people to break law here but we risk irrelevancy as a board if we don’t allow frank discussion of difficult topics even if we completely disagree with the posters.

Edit:

And I think any discussion of this nature belongs in the political thread. Now we apparently have two political threads so there is no excuse for these matters to take over every thread.

I had no idea this happened to you. I understand now why you're so strict with these things. You seem to think I'm an FBI agent, but wallahi I'm not. I'll chill with the terrorist stuff.

If shiite books contain kufr, then why should we consider PRACTICING shiite muslim? I'm not talking about the jahil who does not know this. I'm talking about the khamenis and ayadollars that believe that Allah literally visits al hussein's in iraq.

99.9% of Shia are just jahils. But your point is of course valid. Good luck getting Sunnis irl to understand this though. I had a nice big “Bomb Iran” magnet on my car for years and eventually my mosque board talked to me and asked me to remove it. One of the brothers is a Sunni Turkmen from Iraq ie a refugee whose country was taken by the Safawis. He kept telling me how “i saw shia crying at masjid al haram.” I took it off…. but I kept it and still put it on when im not at the masjid.

Bomb Iran.

Yes but this brother was killed by the Iranian government not a militia. He taught people in rural Iran to stop worshipping graves and to stop cursing Ayisha raa and the sahaba ra. For this he was killed by Iran. He was not even allowed to say goodbye to his daughter Sara.

That’s not how I see it. I see bombing Iran as marking the end of the bloody 20 year Iranian-US war against hapless Sunnis. We are targeted because we don’t have centralized leadership anymore. Are you Sunni?

Are those pictures from a documentary about the supposed US-Iranian secret alliance? I am sorry but I am finding this concept questionable, especially since there seems to be many officials in the US government that are very eager to start a war with Iran. They spent a great deal of effort in trying to remove Assad's shiite regime, and the US still has troops occupying half of Syria.

I don’t know about such a documentary. The quotes are cited.

>I am sorry but I am finding this concept questionable, especially since there seems to be many officials in the US government that are very eager to start a war with Iran.

Don’t be sorry, you are asking good questions and I wish I am completely wrong, that would be a major relief but I can’t un-see the past 20 years that played out before my eyes. The US government is not a monolith on foreign policy and it wasn’t until 9/11 that the Iranophiles in Washington really had their day but this is now a twenty year long day. This is another reason to hate al qaeda and their imbecilic strategy. I seriously think they were stupid enough to think Shia unite with Sunnis even though they always support invaders whether mongol or crusader against sunnis. Shia only fight against Sunnis, except for a brief border skirmish between Iran and russia. Al Qaeda is so retarded and useless that the remaining Sunnis in Syria widely cut ties with them, half of AQ middle management is protected in Iran where they are “under house arrest.”

>They spent a great deal of effort in trying to remove Assad's shiite regime

Hardly. The pro-Sunni politicians like McCain, HRC, and Graham certainly wanted to remove Assad but the entire operation was hamstrung by the Iranophiles in washington. No red line on chemical weapons. No bombing Assad’s palaces. No stingers. No no fly zone. No foreign volunteers allowed to fight against Assad. Not one bomb dropped on a Nusayri head. Trump bombed a runway once after telling Assad to evacuate. The US focus was on fighting isis, not fighting assad. There were even NY times op/eds about how dumb this strategy was as recently as a few years ago.

>and the US still has troops occupying half of Syria.

They literally have orders to help communist kurds and not engage Assad forces and Shia militias. They are not there to help Sunnis.

Exactly, you're woke and based. All the advantages iran has over the sunni was given by the west, their revolution was aided by france, they were supplied weps by israel and USA so they dont lose the iran iraq war, then they removed their main enemy saddam and the US went to war with the taliban, which iran wanted to get rid of, thus saving iran tons of money and effort. They literally gave them iraq on a silver platter. And in syria, the west just larps as anti assad, in reality they could have ended assad if they wanted just as they did gaddafi, but of course libya was a sunni country so its ok to destroy it but not alawite shia controlled syria.

The west would never let sunnis have centralized leadership, we all saw how it ended when Mullah Umar (ra) was declared amir al mumineen, the west jumped on them. But for shiites, they aid them so they can wreck havoc as the kuffar know the rafida mushrikin are more hateful towards the sunni muslim than any other kaffir. As they are munafiqoon, and munafiqoon are the biggest enemies of islam.

Exactly bro and thanks for the compliment. When it comes to Saddam he can be bombed, followed into “spider holes”, and lynched. But when it comes to Assad he is untouchable and in the middle of a fake fight to remove him the IRGC is given $2 billion (the Shah’s old money plus interest and adjusted for inflation.) The lesson from Iraq and Syria is clear: If you attack a small village in your country you are in trouble but if you kill and displace more than half your country the world is in trouble, not you. Now Mosul is being claimed as a “historic shia city” and they are taking it over with government legal help. And now in Kashmir Iran is turning the shia there (who are famous for supporting India) against the Sunnis.

<Muslim (2900) narrated from Naafi‘ ibn ‘Utbah who said:

<The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:

“You will fight in the Arabian Peninsula, and Allah will enable you to prevail over it, then (you will fight in) Persia, and Allah will enable you to prevail over it, then you will fight in Byzantium and Allah will enable you to prevail over it, then you will fight the Dajjaal, and Allah will enable you to prevail over him.”

This hadith fits perfectly in our times.

>Arabian peninsula = GCC states

>Persia = Rafidhi iran

>Byzantium = Turkey (NATO)

>Dajjal = Israel (as ruler)

Muslims will fight them because all 4 are enemies of Islam. SubhanAllah, when has iran been more aggressive to islam in its history other than now?

The shiite think mahdi will come save baathists and secular socialists, they don't know their 12th imam is actually dajjal, as we know he will come from isfahan, iran and wear green scarves like the rafida do today, following the sunnah of dajjal.

Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) said:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Dajjal (the Antichrist) will be followed by seventy thousand Jews of Isfahan and will be dressed in robes of green coloured satin."

[Muslim]. Book 19, Hadith 5

It all fits like a perfect puzzle with other ahadith such as the one of khilafah on minhaj al nubuwa. They have no idea what's coming to them.
