I've heard a while ago that the Assassins where muslims. O first thought it was a joke. I didn't even know that the assassins really existed. But they did. They were Nizari Ismailis, which is sect heresy. They also smoked hashish. That's where their name comes from.

So they aren't muslim. Because it's heresy, and that's not muslim. Or am I wrong?

Yeah, they're a branch of Shi'a - though there are some who don't consider anyone Muslim unless they're one particular little sect of one particular school of Sunni. Kind of like those Christians who believe anyone who isn't Southern Baptist can't be Christian.

It is more the case that the term “Wahhabi” gets thrown around by all kinds of people to describe any ‘virulent and aggressive Sunni’ group. Using the term in those ways is like slandering him by comparing him to those groups. I don’t think you have read any of his books. He books are filled with more Quran verses and hadith than his own writings. People should know that he stopped there from being four different prayer groups around the Kaaba. They should know the reason Saudi Arabia isn’t filled with little Karbalas everywhere is because of him.

Nizari are Muslims that have some practices which involve shirk. The Muslims living in Najd before Abd al-Wahhab's reformation did the exact same kinds of things.

There is literally no benefit from calling other Muslims kufar. Just because it is on the internet and you are typing words doesn’t make it any less serious. It is safe to call people from the Nation of Islam kufar, because they deny that Muhammad PBUH was the last Prophet and deny the hearafter.

Ugh, literally using the same biblical line crosscucks use against Prophet Muhammad only using it against Abdul Wahhab. It doesn’t make any more sense to blame the Sheikh for Daesh than it does to blame the Prophet. Truly disappointing. So in other words you cannot cite anything problematic from the sheikh’s writings but you blame him for Daesh? No blame on thirty years of starvation sanctions, bombings, invasions, twelver death squads that made Iraqi muslims snap. You need a long dead fall guy that bad huh? Abdul Wahhab’s teachings are not only claimed (falsely) by Daesh but by Saudi and its political enemy Qatar just as two examples. Pic related is Ibn Abdul Wahhab Masjid in Qatar.

So KSA, and Qatar are the real “fruit”, Daesh is a couple thousand Sunnis who went insane and are vilified both rightly and wrongly. Daesh was always a mixed bag but the bad outweighs the good by this point and has now for years when they transgressed bounds and then reveled in it and made it their calling card.
