Salam. I am in an interesting position ahkis and need advice. Recently I met a person of the book who is gay. He smokes weed, meth, cigarettes but has a legitimately good business idea that I would be interested in seeing through and though revolving plants. Is this Haram? What are the limits? Can anyone provide better resources as I do not have access to a scholar.
Thanks.

Personally I don't think you should trust this sodomite with any of your money. I have my doubts someone like what you described can have the mental capacity to have a successful business, let alone a legit (lawful) one. I have a feeling if you help out this person you will only be enabling his sinful deathstyle.
As Allah (swt) tells us in the Quran:
>“Help you one another in Al‑Birr and At‑Taqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Severe in punishment”
>[al-Maa’idah 5:2].

You're going to need to give more context if you want help, what sort of 'plants'.

Wasting your money is haram. Investing in a business with a drug addict is a stupid idea. If the business goes through a down period how is he going to fund his addictions? Most likely he will lie to you about needing money for such and such, and then buy himself drugs. That is if he really wants to start a business, he might just want for you to fund his partying.

I thank you for the responses. I suppose I should clarify more as this situation is simply more nuanced and I would prefer general help from any Muslim. Stay with me as this may enter /fringe/ and perhaps someone may be able to guide me to further resources.
I reverted/converted over a year ago alhamdulillah. I now live with a disbeliever friend and his baby mama as they were kind enough to take me in during a struggle alhamdulillah. For reference, years ago in school, I made this friend an atheist because I was also hardcore atheist at this point.
Moving forward. one day I'm outside my house smoking a cigarette (I've been cutting down heavily and using a vape now though). A man came upto me and asked me for a cigarette with a small black dog of his (dog is pretty obedient. Can roam reliably with him during walks and listens to commands well. She is like an uncertified guard dog. ) I gave him one and asked if he had any weed (astaghfirullah) and we became daily friends for the past 4 months. His name was based on an angel I had read about earlier that day so my interest was piqued. The first day we smoked resin and his whole room was like a terrarium condensed.
I mentioned how I had always wanted to start a business centered around those and he did too. And our friendship bloomed but now I feel like I'm encaged in a house of jinn and/or hinn and the walls are keeping me in to speak. I haven't paid much for weed at all really, yet it seems they came so easy and free to me. Cigarettes weed and Some klonopin (he's prescribed like 7 meds, doesn't pay for any of them) come to me by me just existing around these people(?)He has enough of this stuff but he doesn't sell, doesn't sell meth, doesn't smoke much meth to be quite honest as I've seen this man daily for some time. His roomates are a mother with her 16 yo child. She smokes and drinks and occasionally smokes meth on occasion as well. This 16 yo has no father figure and smokes cigs in front of his mom and back talks and they yell. There's 3 dogs here total, one is small, the other is a mix, but the last is an Australian Shepard, like one my exfiance had before I was a Muslim. But that dog does not stop itching.
But I have a moral dilemma, the kid still has some good in him, but I am conflicted. This house is poor. This kid has no father and he appreciates spending time with me even if we just play fallout 3 several times through).
But I'm still not done. I had an ecstatic experience that got me into Islam over a year ago. Sometimes now I fear I see too much of the Hinn/jinn world. This homosexual is a good person but everyone in this house backbites each other. But sometimes it seems he whispers lowly when I'm off thinking of something else. It's almost like his words becomes the whispers that are whispered into the hearts of men. I pardon and forgive like the Quran. But do I repel the orphan? Is this child an orphan?
I ultimately still believe he would be a good business partner but I am reminded of the Quranic verses that mentions how jinn and man will profit each other but end up in hell.
I pray 2-3 times a day two rak'as each because I simply don't know whether to believe in Sunni or Shia. I miss fajr probably because I'm too zonked out all the time.
I have no prospects and I don't know what I want to do. I still believe once the weed daze goes away I'll be able to remember more clearly. Because honestly I've destroyed most of my memory from 6 years of on and off drug abuse.
Sorry for the long post. I can't talk about this stuff with anyone at my masjid as I speak neither Arabic nor what the rest of the congregation speak. Took me months before I could even finally take the exit and go to masjid for fajr the first time. Been to several different mosques and I always seem to get a lot of attention for being so different looking and acting. But I go there for God. You wouldn't believe how confused I was when we did only two rak'as for dhuhr. It only reaffirmed my belief for three prayers. But again I simply don't know enough either way. I try to stick to the Quran alone but it makes me sad that I don't know Arabic so I can fully listen to it myself and know what to believe. English translations just don't cut it.
I'm rambling again. Sorry. Jzk. Also can someone tell me how to pronounce Jzk? And other common ones. I don't know how they sound and it hasn't been the easiest to search google for it for some reason.
Idk I'm just an undiagnosed autist. What do I do? Am I in trouble if I believe I've seen the other side and hear all things glorify God or am I just a lost Sufi who needs to give up. My mind is everywhere. I'm not prescribed anything and I don't want to go back on anymore because I was such a hypochondriac junkie years ago. Goodbye. Sorry.

Yeah, it does, but I'll do my best …
>I now live with a disbeliever friend and his baby mama
You'll need to get out of that situation as soon as you can.
>all this about Jinn
We (humans) cannot see Jinn. No matter what we do or how hard we try or whatever drugs we take, we do not see Jinn. Period. Of this there is no doubt. No human being in the history of mankind has ever once seen Jinn.

It's good that you see that.

If you haven't been professionally diagnosed, then you need to stop self diagnosing. Mental illness is something Muslims take seriously and if you need professional help, you should get it.

First off, congratulations on reverting from atheism to Islam. May Allah (swt) guide you to good health and righteousness.
Secondly
>I dont pay much for weed, it just comes freely to me
You see, you may not be paying for the weed with money, but you are paying for it in your time. Time wasted vegging out playing vidya, watching TV, etc. I struggled with the devil's lettuce aswell and what helped me beat my addiction was doing a lot of semi-drastic changes not only did I throw out my lighters and containers, but I changed my phonenumber, threw out my clothes that promoted it, and moved out of the area. You'd be amazed what can trigger an urge once you haven't smoked in a while
Allah (swt) gave you your body. It is a temple to his Majesty. Build it up instead of filling it with unholy smoke.
Personally, I think removing yourself from that house would be the best thing for you.
>sunni or shia
Sunni, because i'm biased
> try to stick to the Quran alone
Becareful, you still need to study the Hadiths aswell.
>I have no prospects and I don't know what I want to do.
You should like a young college kid. Best advice I can give you (from experience) is to go to a trade school and learn a trade (welding, automechanics, carpentry, cooking) or join the national guard I don't know if you are American, but the NG only requires one weekend of your time a month and pays out like $800 for it. Full time you get more
>Idk I'm just an undiagnosed autist. What do I do?
Don't think so low of yourself, friend. Just keep dedicating your life to Allah (swt) and He will guide you to paradise.
If your passion really is to start a business, join etsy.com and you can make crafts for people to buy from you. Make is related to Islam to help with your faith. To really test out your business skills you can leverage your current roomates to help you make the crafts. This is also a good way to start a conversation about Islam. Maybe it can help you revert your roomates so they can stop sinning as well.

I first converted after reading the Quran. There weren’t any other Muslims anywhere close to me, so I didn’t have anyone to try to correct me in what I was doing. I’m pretty sure at the time I wouldn’t have listened to criticism anyway. I was in the habit of smoking marijuana on a regular basis, drinking, and occasionally using other drugs. I didn’t pray regularly and fell into the Quranist way of thinking, because it was what was online and it was a good excuse to justify my behavior.
I’m not going to go into a lot of detail, but I ended up having a schizophrenic episode. They called it “schizophreniform disorder” because I had extreme symptoms of schizophrenia for a short period of time. The whole time I thought jinn were mentally attacking me. Most of the time it was in my mind, but I did actually see some things, sometimes strange messages were on the television and sometimes I saw cloaked figures in the reflection of the TV when it was turned off. I had some other strange stuff happen as well, so I would have to disagree with >>33580 saying that we can’t see jinn. Almost all paranormal experiences and “ghosts” can be explained by jinn.
Now that I am praying 5 times a day, following the hadith, and practicing Islam I am fine Alhamdulillah. I think that if you are taking drugs and are weak in your Islam, it makes the shaytan want to target you. They want you to disbelieve, because as long as you have the smallest portion of faith, you are still able to be forgiven by Allah SWT.

Shias are non muslim, they are simply less than 10% of the ummah, how can they be muslim if they don't follow the sunnah (tradition) of the prophet? Nobody believes them since they like other deviant sects have odd beliefs, some of which make them kaffir like:
Quran has been distorted by Sahabah.
Aisha radhi Allahu Anha comitted zinah.
All Sahabah including wives of the prophet salalahu alaihi wasalam except Khadija radhi Allahu anha and few 8 or so other Sahabah became Kuffar after the death of the prophet salalahu alaihi wasalam.
Imaams know unseen.
Imaams are infalliable.
Imaams are partners with Allah in many
things.
Imaams are better than Messengers before Muhammad salalahu alaihi wasalam
For more shiite heresy & sources check this post >>32382
>You wouldn't believe how confused I was when we did only two rak'as for dhuhr. It only reaffirmed my belief for three prayers.
There is no 3 prayers in shiism, they pray 5 as well but they combine times of the fajr and dhur and combine the times of asr and maghreb and they have isha that is 3 sets of prayers. But they pray 5. 2 rakat for dhur is only during the friday jumu'ah salat, if you miss it, you pray 4 at home like regular dhur
>Also can someone tell me how to pronounce Jzk? And other common ones.
Jazak-Allahu-Khayran = May Allah recompense you with good
In-Shaa-Allah = If Allah wills it
Ma-Shaa-Allah = What ever Allah wills (affirms decree of Allah)
Al-Hamdu-li-Lah = All praise be to Allah
Subhan-Allah = Allah is perfect (free of any errors/defects)

You cannot hear those things, seems you are under satanic influence, I will say to you what the prophet salalahu alaihi wasalam said to his companions about bad friends:
It is reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:"A person acquires the same religion of his beloved ones, so let everyone observes whom they befriend." Reported by Ahmad, Al-Tirmidhy and others.
Abu Musa Al-Ash`ary (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:The example of a good companion (who sits with you) in comparison with a bad one, is I like that of the musk seller and the blacksmith's bellows (or furnace);from the first you would either buy musk or enjoy its good smell while the bellowswould either burn your clothes or your house, or you get a bad nasty smell thereof." [Reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
Moral is, BAD friends have BAD influence, so stay away from them. As Allah subhana wa ta'alla says in the quran al karim :
>43:67 Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous.
>25:28 Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend.
As for the child, he is not an orphan but keep contact with him so he may be guided to Islam InShaAllah.

That could be a general statement. There are hadith that say they can take the form of snakes and other things, so it is possible that some of them can make themselves visable to people. Also this hadith.
Allah’s Apostle (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam) deputed me to keep Sadaqat(al-Fitr) of Ramadan. A comer came and started taking handfuls of the foodstuff (of the Sadaqa) (stealthily). I took hold of him and said, “By Allah, I will take you to Allah’s Apostle.” He said, “I am needy and have many dependents, and I am in great need.” I released him, and in the morning Allah’s Apostle (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam) asked me, “What did your prisoner do yesterday?” I said, “O Allah’s Apostle! The person complained of being needy and of having many dependents, so, I pitied him and let him go.” Allah’s Apostle (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, “Indeed, he told you a lie and he will be coming again.” I believed that he would show up again as Allah’s Apostle (Sallallahu’Alaihi Wa Sallam) had told me that he would return. So, I waited for him watchfully. When he (showed up and) started stealing handfuls of foodstuff, I caught hold of him again and said, “I will definitely take you to Allah’s Apostle. He said, “Leave me, for I am very needy and have many dependents. I promise I will not come back again.” I pitied him and let him go.
In the morning Allah’s Apostle (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam) asked me,”What did your prisoner do?” I replied, “O Allah’s Apostle! He complained of his great need and of too many dependents, so I took pity on him and set him free.” Allah’s Apostle (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, “Verily, he told you a lie and he will return.” I waited for him attentively for the third time, and when he (came and) started stealing handfuls of the foodstuff, I caught hold of him and said, “I will surely take you to Allah’s Apostle as it is the third time you promise not to return, yet you break your promise and come.” He said, “(Forgive me and) I will teach you some words with which Allah will benefit you.” I asked, “What are they?” He replied, “Whenever you go to bed, recite “Ayat-al-Kursi”– ‘Allahu la ilaha
illa huwa-l-Haiy-ul Qaiyum’ till you finish the whole verse. (If you doso), Allah will appoint a guard for you who will stay with you and no satan will come near you till morning.” So, I released him. In the morning, Allah’s Apostle (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam) asked, “What
did your prisoner do yesterday?” I replied, “He claimed that he would teach me some words by which Allah will benefit me, so I let him go.” Allah’s Apostle (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam) asked, “What are they?” I replied, “He said to me, ‘Whenever you go to bed, recite Ayat-al-Kursi from the beginning to the end —- Allahu la ilaha illa huwa-lHaiy-ul-Qaiyum—-.’He further said to me, ‘(If you do so), Allah will appoint a guard for you who will stay with you, and no satan will come near you till morning.’ (Abu Huraira or another sub-narrator) added that they (the companions) were very keen to do good deeds. The Prophet (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, “He
really spoke the truth, although he is an absolute liar. Do you know whom you were talking to, these three nights, O Abu Huraira?” Abu Huraira said,
“No.” He said, “It was Satan.””
I have heard stories that some people with mental illness had Quran recited over them and they got better. Some of these hallucinations and symptoms could be caused by jinn, as was the belief of the arabs at the time of the Prophet PBUH.

Shia deny most hadith. They basically think almost all of the Sahaba apostated after the Prophet PBUH died. They think Ali was supposed to be the Khalifa the whole time and some of them even worship Ali. Their beliefs are based upon slandering the Sahaba and the wives of the Prophet PBUH and talking about how things were “supposed to be.” Statements of Ali directly contradict Shia beliefs.

Don't get yourself into fiqh and hadith, there's no need for that as a new muslim, don't be a quranist either. Just follow what muslims do.
>And whoever opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him and follows other than the way of the believers - We will give him what he has taken and drive him into Hell, and evil it is as a destination. (4:115)
>But those firm in knowledge among them and the believers believe in what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you. And the establishers of prayer [especially] and the givers of zakah and the believers in Allah and the Last Day - those We will give a great reward. (4:162)

>don't go into fiqh or Hadith
>just do what Muslims do
Ahki, do you want me to be a blind follower?
I will also quote the Quran
>[Quran 7:185] Have they not looked at the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all the things God has created? Does it ever occur to them that the end of their life may be near? Which HADITH, besides this (Quran) do they believe in?
>[Quran 45:6] These are God's revelations (Quran) that we recite to you truthfully. In which HADITH other than God and His revelations do they believe?
>[Quran 52:34] Let them produce a HADITH like this (Quran) if they are truthful.
>[Quran 68:44] Therefore, let Me deal with those who reject this HADITH(Quran); we will lead them on whence they never perceive.
>[Quran 77:50] Which HADITH other than this do they uphold?
>[Quran 4:82] …..If it were from other than God, they would have found in it numerous contradictions.
And yet there is more to be quoted that seems quite satisfactory to me to have a hard time simply accepting Hadith and no one can give me a clear cut answer without quoting more Hadith or a general verse to follow the messenger pbuh. Muhammad pbuh lived the Quran. Did he include his own name in his prayers to Allah? Did the Companions as well? I don't think so and here's why:
>[Quran 63:1 Sahih International] When the hypocrites come to you, [O Muhammad], they say, "We testify that you are the Messenger of Allah ." And Allah knows that you are His Messenger, and Allah testifies that the hypocrites are liars.
Anyway, I cut off those toxic people. It's better for me anyway thank God. But I won't forget those whispers I heard. The way the walls and how events unfolded seemed to trap me in. If anyone has legitimate arguments or resources, then please provide them. As for now I follow God and what he bestowed upon his last messenger. Peace.

I'm telling you, with all due respect, that you are new to Islam and have very little knowledge, so don't speak about things you have no knowledge about.
(1) The Qur’aan speaks of the importance of the Sunnah, for example:
(a) Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “He who obeys the Messenger has indeed obeyed Allaah . . .” [al-Nisaa’ 4:80] Allaah described obedience to the Prophet (peace be upon him) as being a part of obedience to Him. Then He made a connection between obedience to Him and obedience to the Prophet (peace be upon him): “O you who believe! Obey Allaah and obey the Messenger . . .” [al-Nisaa’ 4:59]
(b) Allaah warns us not to go against the Prophet (peace be upon him), and states that whoever disobeys him will be doomed to eternal Hell. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “. . . And let those who oppose the Messenger’s commandment beware, lest some fitnah (trial, affliction, etc.) befall them or a painful torment be inflicted on them.” [al-Nur 24:63]
(c) Allaah has made obedience to His Prophet a religious duty; resisting or opposing it is a sign of hypocrisy: “”But no, by your Lord, they can have no Faith, until they make you [Muhammad] judge in all disputes between them, and find in themselves no resistance against your decisions, and accept (them) with full submission.” [al-Nisaa’ 4:65]
(d) Allaah commands His slaves to respond to Him and His Messenger: “O you who believe! Answer Allaah (by obeying Him) and (His) Messenger when he calls you to that which will give you life . . .” [al-Anfaal 8:24]
(e) Allaah also commands His slaves to refer all disputes to him: “. . . (And) if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allaah and His Messenger . . .” [al-Nisaa’ 4:59]

Here are a couple books to start with. Don’t worry about things you heard or saw, trust me I’ve seen some ☻. It isn’t worth your time to be afraid or worried about whatever negative things you are dealing with, it is better to just move on, stay positive, and don’t even respond to whatever it is. If you stick to praying the 5 daily prayers every day and trying to better yourself things will get easier Insha Allah.

And the borders were drawn by colonists after taking from indigenious peoples I would definately not join any army of the kuffar any guard or navy of the kuffar etc… no good comes from haraam you can make money working with muslims instead of working with the kuffar system go to the masjid and tell them you need work they will for sure get u work within a few days surely by allah

I have had multiple vivid dreams involving these people. Some are absolutely horrifying and I end up waking from the dream because of repenting within the dream for what I did.

When I first started actually practicing Islam and trying to better myself I had lots of bad dreams. Try reciting Ayat Al-Kursi in your salat before you go to bed. Remembrance of Allah is the best protection that someone can have.

Those "indigenous people" were savage pagans, much like Arabia before Islam.
If it was wrong to colonize Pagans in America than it was wrong of Muhammad (pbuh) to do the same.

You are right on that point but the national guard is still kaffir harbi and taghut.

The Muslims were trading with American Natives and the Muslims even had a few settlements only difference is the Muslims in the Americas were not fleeing persecution back home nor were they intending to colonize the Natives only to trade and seek knowledge. Not all of the indigenous people of the Americans were savage pagans surely some were Muslim because Columbus saw masjids and was told of trade with Muslims and even learnded about the route from Muslims.

Difference of opinion, but we should stay on the subject that the national guard or any kaffir army is haram to join. It goes against walaa wal baraa & kufr bi taghut.
