Goodbye everyone!

Is there any reason to NOT be Sufi/Gnostic?

Sufis actually follow the teachings of the Prophet Isa and become one with Allah, unlike many fundamentalist Muslims who worship the Demiurge instead of the true God

You can't just be "Sufi". Sufism is not a branch of Islam. It is a method of studying Islam. If you're gonna call yourself a Sufist, you still have to declare shahadah, pray 5 times a day, pay zakat, take Hajj, fast on Ramadan, avoid pork and intoxicants, and follow Qur'an and the Sunnah just like ALL other Muslims.

"sufism" is NOT and islamic sect, but a type of philosophy within islam, some agree with it some don't, some have their own way, simply put you don't know anything about sufism or islam

You are probably a gnostic based on the fact you used demiurge, which is claiming there are 2 gods. This is wrong and you are an idolater.

I know its not a sect. Im saying that all Muslims should be Sufi.

I never claimed there were two Gods The Demiurge represents an incomplete image of Allah. If you claim to be Muslim, but you arent Sufi, you worship the Demiurge.

For what its worth, I am actually very interested in practising Islam. but I see I am not worthy to be on this board

It's a contradiction. What you claim to be "sufis" are just normal sunni muslims.

>I never claimed there were two Gods The Demiurge represents an incomplete image of Allah.

There is no incomplete image of Allah (swt), the complete image is in the quran and ALL muslims including so called "sufis" follow it.

>If you claim to be Muslim, but you arent Sufi, you worship the Demiurge.

Why is that? You seem like a gnostic LARPer tbh

You can't "be" Sufi. You can be Muslim. You can be Sunni, or Shi'a, or Ibadi; but you can't be Sufi. You can embrace Sufism and study in the Sufi way, but you can't "be Sufi".

>interested in practising Islam

If that were true, then you would practice Islam. Your worthiness for this board is that you either are Muslim or you are interested in becoming Muslim. If you're not Muslim and you're coming here talking about Irfan and "the mystics", then we can spot you a mile away and will know you're not sincere. If you sincerely wish to study Islam, then start with Qur'an. Read it, then read it again, then again, then read it again, then go to a mosque (hint: there are no "Sufi mosques") and learn how to pray, then read Qur'an again, and one more time, then start reading the Sunnah of the Prophet, and so on and so on and so on for 10 years or so, living every day as a Muslim and in the way of the Prophet … THEN you can start the basics of Irfan.

Rumi grew up Hanafi (Sunni), was taught Islam well into adulthood, before he started looking into Irfan. Were he alive today, he'd tell you the same thing: you can't just "be" Sufi.
