In Nusantara (Malay Archipelago) as a whole as introduced to Islam through replacing the pagan/hindu rituals with something islamic thing since Malay at that times, were all about traditions. "Biar mati anak, jangan mati adat." which literally means "Let your sons die, but not our law/traditions." Technically bid'ah but I don't know if they ever intended the following to have any extra good deed points because of the specific act and time alone.
For example the prominent one is the Berzanji or the recitation of Iqd al-Jawahir by Syekh Ja'far al-Barzanji bin Husin bin Abdul Karim. Iqd al-Jawahir is a du'a, praises and history of the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. The book is recited in embeded related. Is it bid'ah? It is something new, yes, but I think it was created to replace other worse rituals like dancing or whatever pagan things. As far as I know, there's no false nas that's being spread around talking about how much extra points you'll get for doing this. Though, as of now, the tradition is dying and the only community that does this are the Javanese.

In my country and OP (we're both from the same country by the looks of it), there's hardly any "barrier" into "race-mixing" from what I've seen. I've yet to hear any story regarding parents being against "race-mixing" in these days. The only barrier right now is that in order to marry a "person of the other race"/non malays or muslim, the other spouse has to be converted into islam first. There's also the "malay priority/benefit" that's still lingers in the constitutional law and some people may be reluctant to let go of the benefit, e.g I have an indian friend who is muslim and his parents are muslims, but did not get the benefit of ease of access to government funded higher education institution. It's a complex situation. Which is kinda of a hot topic right now in my country due to the new government wanting to sign and rectify ICERD.

They act like sahih bukhari is part of the Quran and don’t understand it is a starting point for the fuquha/ulema who take a holistic view rather than an end all be all. Probably not worth the time but if I am responding to them I make them focus on one hadith per thread. I do the same thing when talking to crosscucks, one bible verse at a time. Then I can approach it from the textualist, unitarian, and islamic perspective rather than get buried in the usual copy paste of 70 bible verses that individually say nothing but somehow ‘prove’ that God is a Cerberus like being.

cultures do not mix and can never mix. Why some sahaba did some race mixing was because they still had one culture, their Arabic culture. So even if there was some Arab and black mixing, they still followed Arab culture. Also, they were the sahaba and only a few mixed. I read in Maulana Maududi's Tafheem ul Quran that one should try to marry women of equal social standing and culture since that reduces conflict in the marriage (like how the marriage between a freed slave,Zayd bin Harith RA, and the daughter of a prestigious family, Zainab RA, didn't work out). I myself have seen that marriages not only between differing races but even neighouring cultures may cause friction not only between families but the spouses.
So I'd preferably marry someone in my own culture. As for those who'll say the Prophet PBUH married a dark skinned lady and various Jewish Women, a) they were of largely the same culture,b) I'm not an arbitrator between nations like the Prophet PBUH and c)He also married an aged widow yet recommended marrying young fertile virgins

Because the vast majority of the sahabah were Hejazi Arabs. I'm not saying race mixing is wrong like Mr.Based Muzlim here but I'd not recommend someone who grew up with Pakistani cultural sensitivities to go and marry someone who was raised in a Somali or American Culture as that would obviously lead to unnecessary friction and could quite easily lead to the halal action Allah despises the most. It would be much easier to deal with this if we lived under something similar to the Umayyad Caliphate where Muslims of various religious backgrounds lived under the same law and government and were able to travel and mix at ease but with how the fitnah is among the ummah I wouldn't recommend this.
However at the end of the day Allah, you and your parents know best who is best for you.
