I'm currently working on a prayer times GNOME shell extension, apparently someone else forked off around the same time as me and has been making patches too, I'm trying to merge in some of the changes I like but I'm having trouble understanding what this fixes:
https://github.com/bateni/azan-gnome-shell-extension/commit/e3a8b23ee0cf157f3473c9e5f1cd492089047d1b#diff-0d6066687fab7c23ea750de2a8756d39R276
I don't want to merge something in that's going to affect the accuracy of prayer times so I'd appreciate some extra eyes on this commit.

/tech/ wouldn't know anything about calculating prayer times so I didn't bother.

This is mostly gibberish to me, I'm no mathematician.

The prayer time calculator is from praytimes.org, but it's a question of whether the numbers being plugged into that library will still be correct.

bro i literally decided that its better to make it echo salat time, than get in the maths since im too busy.
``
#!/bin/sh
date=`date +%d`
today=`sed -n "8,38p" ~/.config/tpt.txt | sed -n "$date p"`
ratpoison -c "echo $(echo -e "N°\tDay\tFajr\txroq\tDhor\tAsr\tMghrb\tIxa\n$today")"
``
i use ratposionwm, so you can change it to notify-send
tpt.txt is from
https://www.salahtimes.com/

Question, how are you suppose to calculate something that are only described by the light in the sky, and the position of the sun and moon? Calculate from when the sun is directly on top of our head as the starting point? Now I'm kinda curious.
