What is the general consensus of the Salafi movement, within this board and possibly the Islamic world?

Is the "wahabi" pejorative just a baseless ad hominem? Are they truly a radical faction/movement within Islam or are they leading Islam on the right path?

Are the Salafis to be trusted or are they ruining Islam?

Sunnis have conditions for fighting leader, murjia do not. Sunnis know iman goes up and down, murjia do not. Sunnis don’t deny a connection between actions and iman, murjia do. Before you call people murji you should make sure they fit the description, otherwise it’s just a bad forced meme.

The rafida don’t distinguish between you and the sunni rulers. They say Saudi is Daesh and Daesh is Saudi - they want all sunnis dead and replaced with hazara scum settlers.

Perhaps.

My vision for this board is that it can be a place to learn. A place where people new to Islam can find information and not be smacked in the head with minutia pertaining to "my masjid is better than yours". Some people come to Islam through Sufi texts, some through the old Shi'a poets, and some through discovering an admiration of a historical figure. I don't want them to see this board and turn away from Islam because they ask a question or make a statement that gets greeted with derision, scorn, and insult. Converts to Islam already face discrimination and anger. There's no reason we should add to that.

We are all converts. Remember how the brothers and sisters treated you and pay it forward.

Calling for the wanton slaughter of every single muslim ruler and mocking those who disagree is the epitome of derision, scorn, anger and insult. It's a couple other things too…. like dumb, unislamic, and borderline illegal.

Anyway, I modded the board like a sunni board and it's not a sunni board. That much is true. I'm happy to be a contributor here and run a dedicated board for the sunnis. Alhamdulillah.

Salafism has its own flaws . but in general they're to the right path compared to sufis and achaira .

Ps: the pro governement ones are all fuarked up murtadeen no matter what movement he is in .

Now what we should focus on is

اعلاء كلمة الحق و تحكيم شرع الله و الجهاد في سبيله و الكفر بطاغوت النظام العالمي الجديد و كل من اعانه من حكام مستعمراتنا العربية و كلابهم المرتدين . thats our priority .

Scientific discussions aren't meant for us normal people .

Tl;dr : salafis are like people . some of them are good and some of them are bad . the whole movement has its own flaws but that is totally normal as no one is fully right except our prophet عليه و على اله ازكى الصلاة و التسليم .

And know that now one is to be trusted fully . الحي لا تؤتمن عليه الفتنة .

And seek islamic knowledge and ask allah to lighten your path in that .

>It is obligatory upon the Muslim to follow the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), according to the way of the righteous salaf who followed the guidance of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), the Sahaabah and those who followed them – may Allah be pleased with them all.

>Everyone who has any knowledge of the movement of Shaykh Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhaab (may Allah have mercy on him) and his message knows that he sought to spread the message of pure Tawheed and to warn against shirk in all its forms, such as attachment to the dead, or to trees and rocks, etc.

>In his ‘aqeedah (belief), he was following the way of the righteous Salaf and the earliest Muslim generations, as is indicated by his books and fatwas, and the books of his followers among his sons and grandsons and others. His message was in accordance with the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

>Wahhaabism is not a new way or a new school of thought; rather it is a call to Tawheed and the revival of aspects of the religion that had been forgotten. What you have to do is to beware of those who warn you against the Wahhabis such as deviant Shia etc, because they are warning you against following the truth and the early generation of this ummah.

>Applying the word “Wahhaabis” to those who adhere to correct belief and warning people against them is the way of the ignorant and biased. We ask Allah to keep the Muslims safe and sound.

Funny how MIAW's entire works on aqeedah combined (Kitab Tawheed, Usul Iman, Nawqidh Islam et al.) are only about 200 pages long, yet no one can refute or attack him there.

All they can do is throw ad hominems like vehappi.
