What should be the minimum age of circumcision? Since there is no compulsion in religion the subject needs to consent and understand the implications of the ritual, right? otherwise it undermines their freedom and conscience and isn't even significant to them, so it becomes just an empty gesture.
Like forcing a child to prostrate when they have no understanding of what is going on and can't even speak, the prostration is futile, an empty gesture forced upon them.

Hi christian friend. This rationalism is why your religion is literally a lawless husk. Messianic Judaism was completely eviscerated by this kind of indolent greek navel-gazing.

The child is property of the parents until they gain autonomy. And thus, the parents can decide to circumcise them when they want, but the younger the better since they won't remember the pain.

Pretty much this. Having your own child participate in religion is not compulsion. We are commanded to raise our children in Islam.
However, there isn't pain in circumcision anymore. They use a special ring device that requires no surgery. Modern medicine for the win!

I agree that parents have the right to circumcise their children but I would not use the word property.
