I think maghreb is condemned to the same fate as west… just yesterday, I was debating with some moroccan atheists that I know irl, their only arguments are some shit they saw on wikiislam, the worst is that they all have this "I just learned something" syndrom, from the time they know you are an islamist, they automatically presuppose that you have no knowledge, no culture and you cannot think by yourself, they are of a level of arrogance…
The worst thing about it is that they multiply so quickly, especially on the rich class, who thinks religion is something for the so retarded populace. It worries me, I see less and less true intellectuals muslims in this country…

You can't change someone's mind until they're open to discussion. The only good thing to come from debating them would be to prove to everyone else how wrong they are.
I don't think it'll be that much of a problem in the long term.
For every tard who decides Islam is beneath them, there's someone discovering the religion and learning more to convert. The best we can do is act as good role models, and make sure people actually know about the basics of Islam. That way if they stumble on hate sites they'll know to discard them.
Although I wish there was some way to knock WI off the top of every fucking Google search.

This was always the case. From the time when Islam first started to this day, it's usually the oppressed, the pious and the downtrodden who are more open to religion. The rich are too busy with materialistic pleasures to see the true nature of this world.
They fetishize western culture and call religious people 'brainwahsed', while in truth, it is them that are brainwashed. Some people lament about their own poor state and say this is a hard test from Allah. But in reality, everyone is tested accordingly. Even the rich people living stable lives are tested by Allah with their wealth.
All we can do is make sure that we perform our duties properly and ask Allah for help and mercy.

A lot of people just want to envy or be bigoted and Islam doesn't allow that so they flee from Islam to preserve the hardness of their hearts.
We can't resent rich or poor people just for being rich or poor since the rizq comes from Allah, resenting someone's wealth means resenting Allah's decree.
And we can't resent people because of their race because if you have a problem with the creation that means you have a problem with the Creator.

The francophile zindiqs that are making a ruckus about inheritance are mentally retarded. They want everyone to accept that some random western lawmaker in the 21st century has higher authority than God. So for a state to decide inheritance laws is perfectly fine. They want to steal 20 percent of the inheritance in "tax"? Sure no problem. It's their right. But when someone says hey, how about God deciding the rules then chaos ensues and human rights are being breached. This is why secularism is absurd. If it were not for sharia one might just as well reason that a person should be able to decide how to allocate it completely, it being within one's right to leave out the daughters completely.

I have control of the board >>>/muslim/
The only rule is against gross transgressions like shirk.
<I'm going to state it openly to the board owner here:
I do not like you. As an overall new and ignorant revert, I need guidance on Islam, and many others do as well. I do not have the board >>>/muslim/ because I want to pretend Im an internet tough guy just because I have mod powers there, but because I recognize this board as counter productive and do not want to be exposed to the misbehavior espoused by the FAGS you tolerate.
Also you're clearly a leftypol browser given your love of socialism and the constant barrage of leftypol users who come here pretending to be muslims and subvert the purpose of the board. You try to say it's okay for you to be left wing because otherwise the alternative is being some sort of /pol/ retard, but I reject this, because the only belief that matters is Islam, and I dont browse /pol/ whatsoever, so you cant slander me this way.

Don't listen to him, you're doing good brother.
You can't be kicking everyone who disagrees with orthodoxy (even though I, and you, believe orthodoxy is the correct way, as the etymology indicates to begin with), because that's not how you open hearts.
You can either make an echo chamber, where the collective spirit becomes more and more extreme (as it is in every echo chamber on the internet), or you can instead make a beautiful garden that invites strangers to the truth.
I'm glad that you made what I believe to be the correct choice. You're not perfect, but I don't believe I would personally have struck such a good balance.

I should, but the closest thing to a mosque is literally a tent. I'm not exaggerating. The Qadianis have a tent. and its a 2 hour drive. 4 hours round trip. for a tent. a qadiani tent. I will be near a real mosque (and quite beautiful one) this summer though.
According to google, we used to have a mosque in my city, but it closed :(
Tell me though, I watch lectures from scholars on youtube, and none of them advocate the toleration of political ideologues, sodomites, or the like.

>none of them advocate the toleration of political ideologues, sodomites, or the like
Neither do I necessarily, but this board is not my little kingdom. I may have access to its settings, but this board is made by all of us. There are going to be people you don't like, don't agree with, and don't accept everywhere you go. It's best to get used to that because even at the mosque there will be brothers who don't share your world view. For example, transgenderism is treated as a medical condition in many Islamic countries and transition is encouraged and - in some cases - even paid for by the State. Those people, those Muslims, are no less my brothers/sisters merely for going through something I have not. We are all tested.
It's not about you.
It's not about me.
>How would you have me trust you?
That's not up to me. I act in accordance with my gut, my heart, my faith, and my love for my fellow man as guided by the Creator of all things. You're not always going to agree with me, nor I with you; but I'm not going to start handing out bans for simple disagreements. This is no more my echo-chamber than it is yours.

Salam, I didn't read all these argument posts, but to put my 2 cents in, I think a wise decision would be not to filter too many words, slurs or otherwise, because some consider it an attack on freedom of speech, but to make bullying any particular individual on the board against the rules.

The original filters were put in place to prevent /pol/ from taking over the board. The first few months on this board was a barrage of /pol/-fueled LARPing either from the white nationalist standpoint or pretending to be Muslim in order to concern troll about ISIS.
Over time it became apparent that they weren't getting anywhere, so they moved on to the next target. Non-legacy boards all get the "/pol/ treatment", as it were, just to see how far they can push the narrative.
As for free speech, well, there really isn't any. This board, like all boards, has rules. The government can't arrest you for saying "Muhammad was a pedo warlord!" but I can at least keep that drivel off of this board. Every now and then someone will come post something "sup3r le edgy" and I'll quietly get rid of it. I've made it so that this board is really boring to attack and I've done that quietly behind the scenes and by use of word filters. Nothing ruins a copypasta troll's day like messing up their pasta.

Islam is not meant for "intellectuals" its very simple and a matter of faith not deductive reasoning or empirical verification. So there really is no need to argue with disbelievers or people of other religions. It's like arguing over whose dad would win in a fight. It can't be verified and you can't convince people who aren't willing to be convinced.

That's because the scholars for dollars of turkey (diyanet) and the palace scholars of the moroccan king are working for the government with a corrupt aqeedah teaching the people.
Abdullah ibn Amr reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah does not withhold knowledge by snatching it away from his servants, but rather he withholds knowledge by withholding scholars, until no scholar remains and people follow ignorant leaders. They are asked and they issue judgments without knowledge. Thus, they are astray and lead others astray.”
