Yeah. Forget about videos and go audio if you want hypnosis.
Hypnosis is a state of focus on one thing - the hypnotists voice. Any video will only distract and make it less effective. And you would close your eyes even in a live trance to focus better.
That being said - most hypnosis videos are roleplaying fodder for jerking off anyway.

Video detracts from the hypnosis.
It is however a good sales gimmick, and there never seems to be a lack of morons falling for it. Even though it's the oldest trick in the hypnosis business.

Yes, exactly. Some people trance deeper, watching television than they do listening to speeches.
Thinking, or speaking in absolutes is a thing that intelligent people tend to move past in adulthood.
Also, the notion that hypnosis automatically equals unconsciousness… or is a magic spell that you "go under" - while there's some some degree of truth to them, you kind of need to get past them to really understand it.
