Your attitude is inhibiting your potential at trancing.

Hypnosis itself is medically proven, not just as a placebo, but actually measurable differences in the brain state compared to various stages of relaxation. It was also discovered, that the believe in hypnosis significantly improves the results. It's not a question, if you'll get results, but how quickly your mind is able to accept the influence of hypnosis. There is a time be critical and there is a time to let go.

Pick a tist you trust, go for some of the more basic files, which you are still interested in, and don't watch for, if you follow the suggestions, but how your body is changing when relaxing and listening to hypnosis. There might just be some changes you'd do anyway like breathing slower, or relaxing your muscles, or even a slight drowsiness, that you usually only feel after sleeping. By acknowledging every single change, intended or not, you will improve your trancing potential over time. Just try it and see, where it takes you.

You already have made the first big step by recognizing, you seem to respond well to hypnosis in a similar style as elle.

I liked f10na cl3arwat3r a lot because she has a lot of free stuff on youtube so I was able to try her out before buying her files. She does not seem to interact too much on Patreon though but I think that is because she has a lot of followers and she only interacts with the top tier people on discord not patreon. I only listen to her files so I don't know anything about her attitude though she sound like a nice person.

what you're describing is quite literally a placebo

there is nothing wrong with that, placebos have a real effect, but if you need to believe in something for it to work it's a placebo

that doesn't mean that you can't choose to believe in it. it's not the same type of placebo as a water pill or something because it's all mental, you can choose to believe in hypnosis while knowing that if you believe in it you will get better results and the placebo will still work

That's not exactly right. You need to unconsciously allow it to happen. If you can accomplish that, you might as well believe it's fake, and still have the effects.

It happens, that people think, they are just playing along, until the tist challenges them to resist a well trained suggestion and they fail.

The second part of my previous post is meant as a recommendation on what might help, to get into hypnosis better, and does not contradict the medically acknowledged existence of hypnosis. Also I think, hypnosis was tested compared to conscious suggestions and placebos as well in other studies (other than one might think, hypnosis is quite well researched), and especially post-hypnotic suggestions can have a much stronger effect than the other two options.

Your mind can always decide to resist hypnotic suggestions, and years of experience of the world around us has taught our minds to be cautious about external influences, making resistance the, more or less, default response.

Change your mind and you get to enjoy a whole new experience.

I belong to a local hypnosis fetish community that has semi-regular meetups, so I'm offering a serious response to this. My advice is based on personal experience, so take it with a grain of salt and understand that it may apply differently to you.

1) Check fetlife.com for your region carefully, you might be surprised to find a local hypnosis community. They tend to be small and scattered, this may involve a train/bus/plane, but it will be worth it. Message your hosts in advance to ask about their house rules and event policy, and to get a feel for what you can expect.

2) Save up and fly to one of the several hypnosis conventions that occur in the US. There are currently 4 or 5 regularly occurring conventions. It's a way of gathering a pretty small and scattered bunch of local scenes into one giant party, and as a newb you'll learn a ton. At the last one I attended, I met several people from Europe and Australia, so if it's practical to make the trip, you'll be quite welcomed.

3) Hang out in dreamychat and discord channels a lot. Read reddit/r/erotichypnosis, learn stuff, make interesting posts, ask questions. Just become somewhat more involved and in time you'll find yourself chatting with other people a bunch, and some of them will be femdoms. Be happy, humble, interesting, and thankful to the people you chat with, and you have a high probability of success.
