I want to support hypnotists and their work.

Can't they just have an option of "Donate $5 to me" on their websites?

I can't afford to pay every Hypnotist $25, but I can afford to pay a little instead of absolutely nothing.

I recently saw that Emporer Hypnos deleted his Reddit account because he was frustrated that he wasn't being monetarily supported.

I feel guilty because I do want to support the people I like. But at the same time, I know I just wouldn't watch or listen to someone if I had to pay $25 for a single file and had no other options.

I want to atone in a way and slip the hypnotists I listen to, and video creators I watch a few dollars each.

I know it's not much, but if everyone who didn't purchase anything just gave $1 to their favorite creators, that would be a lot of revenue supporting them.

But on many sites of the Hypnotist's sites, I don't even see an option to give them or pay for something that is only $1 or $3 or $5.

Hi OP,

This is an interesting discussion, because I too would like to pay the hypnotists if they are good.

Just like anything else. The problem is though, I have to try the hypno out first, but once I know it's good, I will pay.

Silly about Emperor though. Running off in a tantrum cos you are not getting bucks is stupid.

What about the love of what he is doing? Whether he would like cash, or whether he deserves it, is besides the point. So he doesn't care about what he is doing now, and feels his audience is invalid because they don't make him rather rich? Come on man. Quite shameful.

The other thing is though, some of these hypnotists are being unrealistic with what they ask for files. And greed is inspiring that, not need. And if it's need because it's their only source of income, well what a bad career choice!

All in all, yeah, they should offer options to donate smaller amounts of money, and they will probably get more dollars that way anyway.

What an interesting point, I will seriously consider handing over my shekels, good sir!

I fucking love how paying $1 to content creators is considered radical and mock-worthy on this board

Well, this is literally a board about file sharing paid files. So I don’t know what you expect. If you want a faggy discussion board, go somewhere else.

I'm super down for a faggy discussion board, do you know any good ones?

If they have a patreon, that's probably your best bet if you want to support them. In general, many we5t3rn hypnotists have hugely inflated prices for their files for some reason. (´・ω・`)

Japanese files on DLsite are usually around 10 bucks or less and there are even some really cheap, yet decent ones. Audio quality also tends to be higher. If I have trouble finding a file online, I don't mind buying it in those circumstances. Blowing 25 or even 50 on a single file however is pretty much out of question.

 No.46809

Maybe we could post links to popular hypnotist's sites as an easy reference guide on where to send our money.

Like links to hypnotist's personal sites, Patreons, Gum road, Kofi, etc.?

This is a board for all things hypnosis. Sharing paid files is incidentally popular here.

I see the bimbo files are working for you.

You're dumb if you think that you can't have file sharing and discussion at the same time.

I think we can all agree we like hypno and want our favorite hypnotists to keep making it.

I just want an option between total freeloading pirat and $35 for a single 20 minute file like I'm a fucking Bogandoff-Rockefeller-Soros-Koch brother.

How can a little money from the benevolent poor guy reach the hypnotists?

I used to have a "Please Donate" button on the short story pages on my web site. If you like my short story, send me $1. In three years, only one person ever donated $1. So when I redesigned my web site last year, I removed the buttons.

I can't speak for other hypnotists, but right now I need to raise $2000 for a new classical guitar. And another $3000 to hire an editor for my third novel (I'm still writing it). Small donations like $1-$5 every three years aren't that helpful.

If you really want to help, the best thing you can do is spread the word that we exist. Link to our web sites somewhere highly visible. Give us positive reviews. If you know how to make a kickstarter program work (my attempt was a dismal failure), contact me, maybe we can work out a trade.

 No.47125

>>47107

Depends on how well known someone is, whether small donations work or not. If it was one of the more known hypnotists, then I would guess they would get quite a bit. But that kinda ties in with what you said about spreading the word.

You can tell me to get lost, but at the end of the day, I would have never guessed that being an erotic hypnotist on the internet would ever be anything more than spare change from a professional perspective. Can't imagine why anyone would seriously consider making a career out of it. But I hope you get everything you want.

 No.47362

I wonder if it could work if you made it more obvious like on your site or something?

Maybe it was just a design flaw or you didn't advertise the donation option enough

Like a more obvious button on every single page of your site might help

 No.47363

Can this be a sticky?

Maybe we can list all of the hypnotist's sites and donate buttons in only a few posts for quick reference

It's possible. I'm a fairly decent graphic designer. But I'm really terrible at marketing and self promotion.

A lot of marketing stuff is intrusive and annoying. I refuse to add anything to the web site that interrupts the visitors' ability to read page content.

Just my 2 cents…

I know you think that paying 20 bucks or so is not much, those files take sometimes HUGE amounts of time to make, and considering that thy are then freely distributed, it kills all the work.

Personally, I need some cash to live and I understand that they also do.

When I was a student, I could receive 50 USD just to give one hour of my time teaching, so 25 USD to listen to an hour of recording (that's been worked and mastered) doesn't seem so expensive, considering…

Of course, it also depends where thos hypnotists-or hypnotist wannabees live, and the cost of life…

Anyways, those were my two cents.

 No.50354

Great thread. Was thinking about that myself.

Some tists have wish-list published on their websites.

 No.50356

>>50353

You are looking at it from the wrong side.

The overall revenue generated by any file is a function of the price and total number of buyers. If the files aren't worth the time for the creators, they either need to spend less time or optimize the price to increase the revenue (assuming they don't accumulate buyers otherwise).

People are only going to pay so much for about an hour of entertainment. Look at TV productions: They are often only financed by the ads shown in conjunction with them. The production costs and duration are incredibly high for the revenue every single viewer generates by watching the ads. They still obviously make a lot of money.

As long as the paying audience is large enough, even a very low income per listener can be sufficient to sustain the lifes of everyone involved.

 No.50357

for me it's a no. living in one of "still developing" countries mean you have a shitty currency, which usually means multiplying that price by 4-6x. would i pay 120$ for a mp3 file? nope.

 No.50359

>>50357

Good point, although I doubt, that countries with bad exchange rates are really considered as a source of buyers anyway. Some places don't even support direct payments in €, which is probably the second most widely spread and worth a little more than $ most of the time.

I also assume, most customers would prefer to pay in their own currency.
