Which is why it's important people accept as many, and share as many files. This way you don't need to be connected to the original person, it's a decentralized network, all it takes is for 1 person to have that sliver of content.

Retroshare makes that really easy to keep it on in the background too.

But for whatever reason, people treat it like a download site. They just download and leave. Assume you're one of them because that's the only benefit telegram has in comparison, the ability to just jump in and download as much as you want and never ever contribute.

I get that 3rd parties avoid the need to rely on people seeding as much as they download, but an infohash is short, easy enough to type in MSPaint or GIMP and save as an image file, along with a text description in the image of the torrent contents.
