Ah I see. I was merely following the minimum requirements I'd seen on a job database. But you do bring compelling arguments to me conducting this and have excellent reason to bring these up so I will omit the information that best corresponds with your points.
>You are not, on available evidence, qualified to conduct scientific research
No I am not, I am at best simply a curious person who wants to do very rudimentary investigation into the users of hypnosis tapes, specifically tapes who're aimed at fetishists.
>nor have you stated any hypothesis for any 'experiment'.
I would agree that experiment should be in quotation as I'm honestly just taking notes on how different people with different backgrounds react to these tapes. But I will state the question and hypothesis I'm currently working on:
Q: How do erotic/fetish hypnosis tapes affect their users short term, long term, socially and sexually, mentally and physically.
H: Those with who are regularly willing to these tapes experience some degree of the intended programming.
>You do not appear to be associated with any institute, and your commitment to anonymous data has no guarantees.
I do not have any association to an institute or facility that are affiliated with psychiatric research. I am simply an amateur trying to log down the basic effects of hypnosis tapes on various volunteers with various backgrounds. As for the guarantees I don't believe one should expect something when it comes to the anonymous data. To be fairly honest this is more or less a private survey with extra steps.
>Lastly, if you want to be a fully-certified 'therapist', a major in psych won't do it - you will need a PHD, or at least a Masters in Social Work.
Noted. Regardless of the investigation I'll make sure to aim for a Masters then. Again I simply wished to be naive and just went off of what the site said.
Also I would like to thank you for being as calm and respectful as you were even if you don't doubt my ability which you have every right to. Thank you for looking out for others.
