This thread is for brainstorming for a Boku No Hero Academia trainer game. Copied from the last thread:

Narratively, I want to tie Deku and Bakugo's paths together by making them somewhat mirrored. Since Deku is quirkless and also is Deku, his path is mostly about building up his ego and getting him to push forward, be more confident, get laid, and basically figure out that being clever with his gadgets really does make him equal to his peers at U.A., both in the Hero Course and whatever course you select him to enter at the beginning of the game.

Bakugo mirrors this by having his path follow canon's reasonably closely, so it's mostly about Bakugo learning to pull back, be more humble, listen and work with other people, get laid, and basically figure out how not to be autistic just because he's got a stronk power.

Hopefully it makes the game feel more like a cohesive whole, rather than two disjointed half-games broken by a "You wanna hold her hand or choke her out?" question at the start. I'm doing everything I can to try to get most things that effect both routes to either mirror or form a symmetry with things on the "other side".

Ah, I got lost in pontificating on game design. The tl;dr is that Tailman is a chill, zen motherfucker, so he's the one responsible for teaching Bakugo to calm down and think. He's also responsible for at least half the purchases of recent copies of Tsun Zu's "I-I didn't make this A-Art of War for you, b-baka, I just had an extra!" (and other philosophical nonsense). I figured he'd fit, and it's nice for Tailman to have more screentime, even if it's in a doujin game.

It might be obvious, but use screenshot plugin. You can make screenshots in high res (4096x4096 is as far as it goes) if your pc allows that (my shitty laptop barely handles 1920x1080) and downscale it to 2k or 1080 for a crisper look. Also, pics look way better on screenshots than in editor, dunno how that works but it does.

Play around with shadows and stuff, studio is capable of making some cool looking outlines.

Default game maps are seriously limited and you will need to make your own locations for anything that doesnt take place in a school, I seriously advise on downloading the official scene pack and using the folder plugin (link for scene pack https://mega.nz/#F!CCJkjKqT!DfvGtf9s40WNr3rBjF7v5Q). Scene pack contains more than 2500 scenes, and while most of those are either empty or use default scenes there is some that have completely new locations like train stations, forests, temples and I saw a really neat beach with fully furnished cottages.

For posing always try to find the default animation as close to what you want, and then edit it in FK and IK. This works way better than just posing them from the t-pose by hand.

Save often. If you plan on any kind of interactivity, try to save as often as possible so you could load the scene later and edit it as you please.

Save outfits separately so you could switch them on the go in the editor. You do have 7 slots for outfits by default, but sometimes that might just not be enough.

And finally, if you are planning on using POV, try to show the players body as less as possible. It is a pain in the ass to pull off properly, editor has really bad FOV that cant be configured, and to shove at least hands you will have to seriously strech the players model.

I've been fucking around with it, but I still don't feel like I've got it. It doesn't help that half the interface is still in moon, despite the translation patch. Do you have any settings you'd like to reccommend?

Also, building these costumes seems possible, but goddamn is it a bitch. Pic related is about as far as I've gotten with the Uravity costume, but even taking some liberties with the underlying design, it's nigh impossible to get the textures to align properly. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem there's a way to *turn* or move the textures without stretching them horizontally or vertically, which usually means that vertical stripes on the costume are always slightly off center. It's incredibly aggravating. I've got a Froppy that's fairly on-point, although I think I can tweak her costume slightly to make it fit better.

Coder here, the 3d art is placeholder until we get some of the drawings I'm planning on commissioning. I'm lurking for good drawfags meanwhile I deal with some issues on the side. There's a working combat system, which needs only a few tweaks there and there but is on the most part playable. Once you got some decent looking characters you can try to emulate the look of the show using one character to create another. Example: attached pic. I used Kendo to create bakugo's mom. Little bit of hair editing and boom.

And about translation. I can drop the torrent for the version I use, it has autotranslator and stuff + full mod collection and installer that sets in all the stuff for you. I come into this thread time to time just to check the progress, so reply if you need anything.

Glacial progress on this one, but steady glacial progress. I'm of the opinion that if a lewd game doesn't have any lewds, it shouldn't be released, so everything is kind of in the background until Ochako and Froppy both have two scenes for each side. I'll admit that without a drawfag things are going to look pretty poor though. Writing's roughed out up until the end of the introduction chapter and is pretty much ready for viewing, and Codeanon's got a working model of the combat system, although it's still quite barebones. All in all we're about halfway to an 0.1 release, I'd say.

Boku no Trap Academia still appears to have a very active drawfag and not a lot else, but then progress here has also been largely invisible, so I'm not going to try to say he hasn't done anything. Certainly his art is quite good (although gay af).
