I decided to implement this on my freedomfag desktop. Took me all of five minutes to have a far more elegant solution.
Execute this where you keep all your renpy games.
sed -i 's/config.console\ =\ False/config.console\ =\ True/g' ./*/renpy/common/00console.rpy
