Voltaic panels can harness energy from cosmic rays. These panels can work day and night in any kind of weather conditions.

Electricity can also be sent wirelessly (see links) ;

Which means the source can be remotely accessed.

These batteries are reliable and have high energy density, can be made lightweight and have extended battery life compared to other types of batteries. The solid state variant of lithium ion batteries are also much less prone to explode.

The article mentions a paper being behind a paywall, I can get a copy and send it to you if you'd like.

There's a pdf link in the hackaday comments, we could put it in the pdf thread, not sure if there's a more elaborate paper but this pdf seems to cover the details pretty well

Pic is from the pdf
Seems to be based on a similar principle as a crystal radio;
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crystal_radio
and receivers for certain remotes that use diodes to receive a signal (or in this case energy)

Solar cells are mostly made of photodiodes too
Also that phone uses MSP430 to control and interface with the different modules of the phone

I have heard of a guy that used refrigerants (cooling gases) to create electricity. He had a compressor first compress the gases to a liquid state and then pump the super compressed liquid to a sort of chamber. In this chamber the liquid would be exposed to heat because it had already left the compressor. It would rapidly move through channels presumably causing small internal turbines to move. The gas would then return to the compressor where it would return to a liquid state only to complete the cycle again.
I forgot the youtube video but apparently the creator of this tech generated enough energy to power an entire house, let alone the compressor.
No crazy wardenclyffe tower needed. Just the same gases you find in your fridge.

This could be viable if you're good with HVAC or welding

They are proof we can harvest ambient energy.
There is a way to harvest heat from the air itself by feedback loop using heat pump and heat engine. You just pump energy so there's less than air in a <point> and you then heat it with air, so you've got energy extracted from the air, then you use this energy to power a pump…
Normal AC has effectivity of 500% when used as heat pump, so you need some heat engine with atleast 20% effetivity to maintain perpetual energy.
It doesn't even violates Newton's laws of thermodynamics.
