About this Board and Current Rules
This board was created with the idea of Homestuck General in mind, which is pretending to be about Homestuck. It's remnants of 4chan /co/'s Homestuck General, which was 90% shitposting 10% on topic until it got shut down.
If you're looking for actual discussion about the webcomic Homestuck, you're better off finding a thread on 4chan's /co/ board, or elsewhere. You're welcome to try here but you aren't very likely to get a good discussion going, this is more a dwindling group of people who come here to make shitposts and argue with people they kind of know.
Most of the board activity occurs in a main general discussion thread that is normally located near the top of the front page. However, this does not mean that you should limit yourself to just one thread.

What am I doing wrong?
I tried asking on 4chan but the thread got instantly deleted....
I have a sense of FOMO about homestuck. Many of my friends sing its praises but every time I attempt to read it, it comes across as nonsense/LOLSORANDUM. Nothing in this first part makes coherent or logical sense. I don't understand what or why things are happening, so its difficult to ultimately care.
What am I doing wrong?

Concept: there's probably still scattered pockets of humanity alive in post-meteorstorm earth. Evidence: Fedorafan and his talk with nannasprite prior to his ascension to Gent of Piss.
This also implies that game constructs ARE available to people without the games, since I doubt FF has the game yet still winds up with a quest bed.
Followup conclusion: Prior to the Wanderers, everything's gone Mad Max, but it uses the alchemy system to make the crazy machines and weapons
