What I gather, devs seem pretty anti-cencorship which by all means purposes is a good thing, no? And should they keep their word, game won't even feature any of the shit-tier fetishes. Seems to be a nice middle finger for AAA.

The biggest problem was the way the game was presented. It's advertised as a waifu game where you get a harem of monster girls and kill ayys when it's actually a kangoku senkan like game where girls are sex slaves that are gang banged by your crew and monster.
No one cares about cuck or bestiality games, take any cuck or bestiality game that presents itself as such as an example, but false advertising is the gayest shit and it's obviously going to get people riled up. The last three games I remember anyone complaining about cuckshit follow this pattern.

As a completely random nobody, let me copypaste my thoughts from the /vg/ thread. First of all, I don't really ever try to connect with specific in-media characters as waifus. I can find them attractive and even like find myself drawn to attitudes or personalities, but I won't ever look at an in-media character as my "waifu". For a porn game, this goes double.
The result of this is that I actually don't care too much about the things dubbed cuckshit, despite hating NTR and the like. I don't feel any connection to these characters, so for me the difference between one of them fucking the MC or a random enemy mob is basically nil, other than the quality of the animation and whether it appeals to my fetishes.
However, that brings me to my main issue with this game: the "waifus" look really boring. You've got robotgirl, except she just looks like a regular female model given a couple flat coats of paint and some shine. No exposed hydraulic pistons, no gun barrel nipples, only a few joints given robotic emphasis. Next is hackerpunk lady. She's got her holographic interfaces and…that's it? The Demoness is alright, but represents what I'd consider the lower end of what would make an interesting character just from the visuals. Spice up her a bit with some natural bony plating or something, go past just the horns. And then you've got what looks to me like an Overwatch Mercy knockoff, who's sole defining characteristic it seems is being more unremarkable than hackerpunk.
So you've got three entirely generic looking characters and one that just barely gets past 'adequate'. That's hardly a great start for a game to grab my attention.

One reason is how they set things up. From their somewhat misleading advertisement to setting up a kickstarter shortly before releasing a playable demo without requiring the money for it.
Even patreon devs have usually still the decency to release a 0.0.1 demo and have something playable when asking for money.
If other devs jump on it could be the next step downwards. Instead of supporting a demo it will be supporting trailers or teaser videos + pictures.

The chief distinction between Subverse and Violated Heroine is that in VH the protagonist is female, so the game isn't about the player's avatar getting cucked, but the player controlling a doll around and having her do nasty shit.
It could have even worked if the protagonist had been male and the focus of the game was using the cumdumps to breed yourself an army of monsters to get more cumdumps. It would have been a game about degrading the females instead of a cuckolding game, the distinction being that the heroines are not engineered to be likable in the first scenario.
