That's he wants you to think. If you actually did your homework and not wait to be spoonfed, you'd have seen his name pop up frequently when #Gamergate is invoked, yet somehow always managed to avoid the spotlight as attention is drawn elsewhere.

He is an example of a successful social engineer, a kingmaker lurking in the shadows behind the throne that is the Social Media Empire. And apparently pro-#GG is the enemy for refusing to kowtow to their whims.

It's not just flooded out either he actively expunged his involvement in early blogging development. You can "see" mention of him on arc.org but all the articles do that "It's still live! Go here instead!" redirect that just goes to an empty page. These were all done way before GG because I remember running into that the first time it came up. Likely pulled strings to sever his ties to gawker during an early tech bubble hissyfight.
