Amy Hennig actually said she's never been harrassed for being a woman in gaming during some panel last year & encouraged women to try out a job in the industry at GDC 2015, but after she spoke the other women panelists talked about how it's still an issue anyways. It's such horseshit.

(Sorry, don't have archive links. It's either this or a Gamasutra link, I'd rather give our fat fuck the clicks than them.)
It boils down to the same principle where only 5% or less of a game's players like World of Warcraft actually use the game's forums, and bitch about the state of PVP or class balance or how fucked or un-fucked shamans are at any point in time. Is this an accurate point of view when 95% of your players are satisfied enough with shamans that they are in the game playing and not on the forums bitching.
There's thousands of women in various positions of the gaming industry who keep their head down and their nose to the grindstone, actually working and succeeding without being harrassed. The double-digit crybullies who make a big public show of it are the minority and not the norm, especially when the Literally Whos are manufacturing most of their harrassment to begin with.
