Mix of board software being FUBAR, inter-board warfare with revolt resulting in useless fucking drama, failed Next migration and people simply burning out. Lots of varied reasons. When I saw the anniversary thread I thought I'd have a look through some folders for any celebratory GG stuff - found that NYS thing and thought 'yeh why not?'

Back in 2014 when GG kicked off, along with everything else, people sparked creatively and all sorts of stuff turned up -art, comics, vids, memes, graphics, animations, etc. Some of it obviously got lost in the storm -I guess that NYS thing was just someone experimenting with graphics.

It'd be a guess, but the old rule of thumb used to be 10 lurkers for every active poster on a forum.

In our case, there's also the matter of us shooting back up the topbar with every major happening. Right now being a good example, or when we got to #3 in a day when the first Airplay happened.

We have plenty of people - they just don't post much. That's why I quit worrying about it some time back. They'll post when they want to.
