I've been reading about Project Cybersyn and OGAS and what the commies were trying to do with technology back in the 60's. Basically instead of having government distribute all wealth, they were trying to have computers manage and distribute all production of goods, forming something very similar to the supercomputer government in Eva.
I'm by no means a commie, but I think a cyberocracy would transcend the current left/right political spectrum, continually decreasing the amount of work humans need to do as robotics and computing advance.
The base of cybernetics is being able to simulate the processes you want to automate and form algorithms for them. What's the over/under on open sourcing infrastructure and production software? They've already got proprietary software being developed for machine farming, and computers govern most industry already, just not so much in regards to distribution. Why isn't anyone working on this?
