Can I create a functional ham radio station using only parts from a certain amount of these things and some scrap metal? I also have a soldering station, and a crap ton of various sorts of insulated and uninsulated wire. I would just go to radio shack or order off the internet, but I lost my credit card and radio shack is dead.

It depends on what you want to do. Making kids toys work on HF will probably result in disappointment but it sounds as if you might like the homebrew scene in ham radio. Standard blah blah license blah blah, you know this already.

Crystal Sets to Side Band is a comprehensive look at homebrewing but it is too large to upload here.

When I was a kid, I turned a walkie talkie into a SW transceiver (very low power) by playing with the pots. Started to dispatch taxis for lulz.
