I've always found it ridiculous how upset people get over words.
There shouldn't be any difference between being called a fucktard, dipshit, coon, asshole, motherfucker, nigger, bastard, chink, jackass, dickhead, prick, slant, or whatever.
If someone's trying to offend you, the only thing their insult should do is indicate how they're attempting to do it and your reaction should only be based on how much you let it bother you.
Plus there's a difference between being jokingly called an asshole by a friend because you decided to be a cheeky cunt and give them a flat tire while they're walking and getting called an asshole by some guy you actually gave a flat tire because you decided to toss a bottle out the window on the highway.
Context is important and there shouldn't be any word that is just evil at all times under any circumstances no matter what the intentions of using it may have been.
