8kun，原称8chan，是一个用户可以创建自己匿名版的网站。该网站和白人至上主义者，新纳粹，极右，种族歧视，反犹太，仇恨言论，开盒，报假警(SWAT弹:美国晶哥上门服务)以及多起枪击事件有关联，且曾经CP泛滥，现在是QAnon的大本营。

以前8chan服务器在美国，2019枪击事件后被Cloudflare橄榄。由于被多家服务器商清退，在多次尝试后服务器迁往俄罗斯。
8chan在13年10月由Brennan创建，在看到互联网上愈演愈烈的监控与言论自由的丧失之后，他认为4chan已经步入极权主义。他把8chan称为一个更"言论自由友好"的替代品，在飞蘑菇的过程中概念化了这个网站。用户并不需要太多的电脑知识就能在8chan建立匿名版，从14年开始8chan的FAQ中就只有一条全站规则，那就是:"不要发布、请求或链接任何在美利坚违法的内容。不要创建唯一目的就是违反美利坚法律的版块。"Brennan称尽管他发现一些用户发的串“应受谴责”，但对于自己不见得认可的讨论，他认为自己有责任来维护网站的使命。尽管这些讨论有违他的道德立场，仍对此选择了容忍。

Brennan在2016年7月因InfinityNext软件项目的失败和对8chan理想的幻灭选择了辞职，将管理权交给了现任拥有者Jim与他的儿子Ron。
