Not really. We, latvians and lithuanians are balts. Not slavs, not finns, not germans. Balts. Prusians used to be balts too, but they are long gone now. Savickas is a lithuanian, you can tell that by the ending of his surname. Līcis, for example,is a latvian. Our languages are really similar, we can understand each other, but not exactly.

By the way, the strongmen movement and olly weight lifting used to be, and still is really popular here, there used to be some famous guys, like Zāģeris, Kazeļņiks, Ščerbatihs, Bergmanis and lots of others too.

You can look it up yourself, but as far as I know, it's believed that balts are a mixture of Corded Ware culture and finno-urgric culture, as for genetics, you can easily tell apart balts from other nations. Our really differ from others. It's quite offensive to call balts slavs, because we are not slavs.
