So I have pectus excavatum and feel chest pains, I didn't a year or two ago(chest pains).I was conscious of my chest caving in as a kid and a little freaked out (I would suck in a lot of air to make it look normal(still occasionally do).)

So are the chest pains related, are you having any, and might it get worse, and should I get corrective surgery?(I'm still pretty young and the younger the better I guess.)

Consult your doctor. If you case is extreme then you might need surgery. If its more mild there are certain exercises and stretches than can help but these need to be determined by an experienced physical therapist not some strangers on a mongolian underwater tapestry weaving website.

Could you describe the pain/uncomfortability?

I have pectus excavatum too. Mine isn't severe, but I still fucking hate it. Post a pic of yours if you want advice.

Doctors will probably tell you not to undergo surgery as it is a quite heavy procedure. It is extremely painful, and I've read stories where the surgery ended up being useless. I would definitely do it if I had chest pain though. I've also come to terms with the fact that it'll make me look like shit for the rest of my life, so I'll never do it.

Again, post your body (no homo)
