I'm an adult, queer. Working out throughout the day is good, so long workouts of a lower intensity are good. Having a few high load/intensity workouts interwoven in a long period of low intensity activity and performing that same series of activities/workouts the next day and the next until you do it in less time is progress, and is the Chinese method of oly progression. Eccentric movements build connective tissues and mechanically tear and stress muscles more than concentric movements, thus using a sledgehammer or similar "like a sword". The "like a sword" part is in order to develop your musculature in many angles, rather than a strict single line of motion like a squat, deadlift, bench, etc. The structure of using a sledgehammer "like a sword" should be intuitive, since it's easy to imagine sword combat; beginning with a common fencing move, there's the thrust. If you thrust a sledgehammer forward from the long end of the handle, it will quickly fall, despite attempts at keeping it horizontal. You can use the fencing or just a regular staggered stance, depending if you have the focus to really resist the fall of the sledgehammer head when using just 1 arm. Pulling it back to you and picking it up adds another level to the workout. Swinging it down is an obvious use, so is jumping forward and swinging it down, as well as horizontal and diagonal swings. Besides that then is managing to move the hammer into many different positions in response to an imagined assailant, as though blocking in a duel; from above, the side, parrying a thrust, and footwork. It's the weighted strength version of shadow boxing. Hitting stuff besides tires that you half bury or just giant tires is shocking and reverberates up the arm, and the tires aren't a very dynamic source of strain. The point is to build all of your stabilizers, connective tissues, as well as muscular strength all up in your arms, shoulders, back and core. It's whole body whilst developing those scrawny arms. The "Steel Body" training is pretty much the Iron Body training of the Shaolin, but I added hitting things or grappling with strange parts of your body to add both a layer of intensity and also complexity. Legitimate
If you think Set Theory is ez pz and I'm retarded, then all I have to say is that Bourbaki says that relying on intuition in proofs is wrong, despite my criticism that Bourbaki in fact seems to rely on intuition in his formalizing. The brick wall is in the possibility that what he's saying is wrong in some cases, and I try to understand the reality under the reality of what he's saying and imagine cases where what he's formalizing can be either misused or point to a strange bizarro world and potential practical applications that are counter-intuitive. Fuck You!
If it just sounds like LARP, ''Suck my Legitimate! Choke on it!"

If you actually do what I advised, I'd both be surprised and not all too astonished if you succeed in your goal. I shall emphasize the importance of improving your ability to recover and concentration if you actually do it. Practice the Wim Hoff breathing method, take cold showers, eat onions, etc etc recovery and nutrition, sleep on the ground and in austere conditions of all sorts (no fap, abstain from drugs, minimalist life, minimal or no bedding, hot/cold training, tumo even, ascetic life, develop your concentration with meditations and endurance holds, etc.). Martial arts studios can be shit, but learn from people when you can. When you start out with this type of stuff, especially training that is very stressful, you're mostly just changing your constitution – your body is removing weakness and developing its ability to handle stressors overall. When that reaches a certain point, you aren't as stressed, and your body starts developing strength efficiently, and your mind finds great clarity and concentration in every situation. If you're training for confrontation, this is what you need. It has to be hell if you want to survive hell.
